UPDATE: the manual trimmers broke the third or fourth time I used them. It seems they are not appropriate for the nails of larger dogs. I won’t be returning the product but I probably would not have bought it, since I originally wanted both the manual trimmer and the grinder.It should be noted that the ease of using this product is greatly dependent on how willing your dog is to having their nails trimmed. By bribing our Golden with Cheerios, I've been able to get his nails down to a reasonable length over the past week. I will say, that if your dog's nails are out of control, it would take forever to manage them with just the grinder. I've had to use the nail trimmer first, and then smoothed them down with the grinder.The nail trimmer has worked fairly well, but it's definitely not what you're paying for in this package. It's cheap, and the spring is constantly falling out if you open the handles too wide. Though it's done the job so far I don't see them lasting very long. Other than the fact the grinder isn't very useful on significantly shortening long nails, I've been very happy with it. Know that if your dog has long hair, it's VERY easy for it to get wrapped up in the grinder, so please be careful!If you're looking for a way to regularly maintain your dog's nails, I'd give this kit a try. If you're the type not to trim them more than a couple times a year, I'd spend my money investing in better nail trimers and forgo the grinder.

This is a life saver. So incredibly quiet. Like so quiet. I have a 100lb lab/shepherd rescue who is deathly afraid of getting his nails clipped. We've had to sedate him the last couple times. His anxiety is through the roof so it took a ridiculous amount of sedation (many attempts to find the right cocktail that still didn't completely work and we still had to restrain). It was absolutely heart breaking when he needed his nails clipped. I've been working with his paws and this little grinder was so quiet. I can get his back paws done with this at a slow rate but we are still getting him use to the front. The grinders length is normal for these but yet it kind of got in the way when I'm having to move around a lot with the dog. I've only used it a couple times so can't comment on the longevity of the grinder yet.PS the first vet I took him to didn't believe me with the anxiety and workout it was to try and clip his nails. The room was full of people trying to hold him down and they couldn't. I had to stop the vet from trying as it was getting out of hand. Hopefully this grinder is the solution for everyone else and works as well as it has on my dog.

I was initially hesitant to purchase this nail grinder as it’s different to the one I use at work, but this product is everything that’s it’s advertised as. The noise is just a low buzz so my pup no longer gets antsy as soon as I start trimming his nails. I also enjoyed the fact that it’s fast as well as quiet. Was able to finish within ten minutes and would’ve been less if he didn’t get bratty once I start going at the feet. The reason I gave it four stars though is because of the nail clippers. Unfortunately, they aren’t meant for a dog with big, thick nails. There was no way for me to adjust and open it wide enough to even fit his whole nail all the way inside. Other than that, the price is right considering I paid so little for three items.

Great product. I have 3 doxies to trim nails and this works great. Two of the dogs nails grow crazy fast and one of the dog nails tend to curve and grow in to their pad if not kept trimmed. So I try to set aside time every day to do a quick trim to keep the nails the right length.They get a tiny treat before I start and a larger treat as each one is finished. One of my girls even tries to get in line again when she is done. I’m sure she just wants another treat but I play along and do her nails over and she gets her treat. Everyone’s nails are the perfect length after 3 months of just doing a short trimming every day. It takes just a few minutes for all. I’m sure this trimmer has paid for itself already.Just be sure to go slow to get your pet used to the sound, process, and vibrations. And don’t forget the hugs and treats that go with it.

I’ve had my dog for 14yrs, since he was 9wks old, and I’ve never personally had to trim his nails—it was always done at the groomers. But due to pet groomers being closed in my city during Covid-19 lockdown, it became time for me to finally cut old boy’s long Rip Van Winkle nails. I-pure’s grinder, nail clipper & file arrived 1-day after ordering and made the whole nail-cutting process very simple & easy. I realized the reason why my dog wasn’t freaked-out at all during the process was because he was already used to it being done to him by professional groomers every 3mos for 14yrs. I was the first-timer, not him, lol. The quiet sound of the grinder had to have helped keep him calm as well. Glad I now have these tools throughout our time in lockdown. Very grateful for this product and highly recommend.

I had high hopes for this purchase but wish it came with extra grinding stones atleast. That was my big point in buying this was just to smooth down my dogs sharp nails but after just a few quick and easy uses, the stone was already smooth feeling and wasnt doing anything to dogs or my own nails at all. I thought itd be quieter too after reading reviews. It's not real loud though either. The file I wasn't impressed either at all. Clippers I didnt even attempt cause have a pair already that are alot better then these so I use them
