Good for working out and hard to beat the price.
I listen to headphones all day at work, for 12 hours. I wanted comfortable headphones physically that also sounded great and were not fatiguing to my ears in how they sounded. I think I found it. I compared all of these headphones MEelectronics M9P, M6 (or S6), RHA MA350, Brainwavz Delta, Sony MDR-7506, ThermalTake Isurus, JVC HA-FX40, Philips SHE3590, and Koss KSC75 to DUNU DN-12 Tridents. The DUNUs are what I ended up preferring for what I wanted. I also ended up keeping the Koss KSC75s and Brainwavz Delta though. The Sony MDR-7506s are my at-home headphones which I had already. I know, I know. Lots of comparisons. All of these tests were using a Google Nexus 10 with Extreme Quality downloads from Spotify. Warning: I'm not an audiophile but I did want a nice sound and comfort. These are my impressions and opinions only. I needed these to be semi-professional looking so no on-ears or over-ears for work, although I did have some at home to reference as far as sound quality goes. MEelectronics M9P: Dunu's were clearer, and seemed to have more extension. Bass had more clarity. M9P was boomier and seemed to have some of that boominess leak into the mids. M9 is cheaper. I may have just used the M9 as they sounded okay but the nozzle that goes into your ear was a bit larger diameter than the DUNUs. For me, this caused discomfort. My ear canals are on the smaller side though. MEelectronics M6 or S6: Actually a pretty close comparison. Dunu beat out the M6 on the low end. M6 just rolls off, it seems, on the low end where-as the Dunu still has some grunt. Dunu also has better isolation, which could be good or bad. I use the S6 for running. M6/S6 is cheaper than DUNU. I have no comfort problems with these, although of note they will be inserted rather deeply into your ear for a good fit. I used the triple flange "christmas tree" ear tip. RHA MA350: This was actually hard. They both have different sound profiles but it really just comes down to what you prefer. First off... what I really hated about the MA350 was the microphonics (unintentional noise) caused by any slight movement of the cable. It was unbearable. I have a beard, so maybe your experience will be better. For me, unless I was absolutely still, it was way too distracting. The MA350 has more emphasis on the bass than the DUNU and perhaps slightly more clarity (or just emphasis) on treble as well. It was difficult to pick. They were both comfortable in ear. I give the edge to DUNU mainly because I did think there was a bit too much emphasis on treble with the MA350 although I liked the deep bass of MA350 too. The Microphonics and emphasis on treble caused me to prefer the DUNU. Same price with these two. Brainwavz Delta: Oh lord, the Deltas fall somewhere in between the MA350 and the DUNUs. Even more difficult to pick. I kept both. =) Cable is good. DUNUs seem a bit better with mids and both have good bass. Maybe slight edge on Delta with the lows. Similar signature with the higher frequencies/treble. The Deltas were comfortable and lighter weight than the DUNUs. All aluminum housing it seems. Same price. Sony MDR-7506: These are my reference over-ear headphones for home use. They were about twice as much as the DUNUs. Are they twice as good? Not quite, but the bass has more clarity and fullness as well as the vocals. Easier to pick out individual instruments with the Sonys. Soundstage is much better with the Sonys and you can see the instruments placed in your minds eye. No surprises that the Sonys were better. DUNUs held up well though. Thermaltake Isurus: Roughtly same price. Lows seem to roll off. Highs are emphasized without having more clarity. Has okay mids. Clear winner for me was DUNU. The difference is that the Isurus has a mic (as well as an adapter to split mic out from audio out). The driver housings also would not let me put these into my ear very far and would probably be uncomfortable long term. Took me a while to get a good seal in my ear. These may be better for gaming than the DUNUs when you need to focus on hearing footsteps. Not notably better on soundstage though, probably worse. JVC HA-FX40: These are less than half the price of the DUNUs. These had a bit boomy bass that leaked into the mids. Highs seemed a bit thin. Seemed comfortable. Mids were okay. Not bad for the price, but I didn't mind spending twice as much on the difference with the DUNUs. Philips SHE3590: Wow, these are less than $10. Sound wasn't that bad. May have preferred these over the JVCs. I did have this weird thing that happened. You know the sound you get when you turn on noise isolation on a pair of Bose? Where you can -almost- hear a high frequency sound overlay everything? I get that same sound with these Philips when playing anything. I believe that would cause some fatigue with my ears long-term. Otherwise they were quite comfortable. Relatively balanced sound. Did not have the same sound stage as the DUNUs and clarity was in DUNUs favor. Koss KSC75: Wow, another $10 contender. I actually really like these Koss 'phones. Bass is a bit boomy and you're not going to get any crazy soundstage but otherwise it's a fairly balanced sound. I got a little bit of sibilance or harshness out of the "ch" sounds cymbals make as well as some "S" sounds that singers make. Obviously the DUNUs did everything better, but they did it at a bit higher than $10. I was impressed at the bass you could get out of these KSC75's at this price point. Seemed comfortable, too. There ya go people. Think what you will. I know headphones are a pretty personal thing so not everyone may like the same thing. I tried to write down my thoughts about the variety of headphones I've tried in my own personal pursuit of what I wanted. Hopefully it will help you decide.

Decent Workout Headphones for About 9 Months
Bought these in March 2014, by December 2014 I needed new headphones. I do vigorous workouts (cardio circuits, obstacle courses, heavy weights) four to five times per week, and I've always listened to music with these headphones. The sound quality has always been great for workout headphones. At not even full volume, I could tune out everyone at the gym and other ambient noise, and even my own huffing. And I could hear my music loudly and clearly (rock, rap, r&b). Good bass, excellent treble...again, for workout headphones. I have a much better pair for traveling/casual listening. The fitting took some getting used to. I previously had some great Skullcandy workout headphones that lasted for 3 years that actually stayed in place over my ears (wish I had bought 10 of them). The memory wire of these is a good concept, but I had to adjust the headphones for every use, so the memory wire did not stay perfectly. No big deal, really. A very minor inconvenience. And, with the clips attached to my clothing (one at the bottom of my shirt, one on the collar, iPod in my short pocket), the headphones stayed in place very well. Even when I was pouring sweat, jumping over/diving under obstacles, they stayed on. Every now and then one side would fall out, but it went right back in without a problem. That's the good, thus the three stars. The bad: I took excellent care of these headphones. Never stepped on them, dropped them, let the dog chew on them, or anything. When they weren't in my ears, they were loosely wrapped around my iPod (yes, I'm old school) on my dresser. Yet after only 8-9 months, the rubber earpieces fell off the headphones and I could not get them to stay on. When I thought I had them, the headphones fell out, but the rubber earpieces stayed in my ears. Then, just yesterday, BOTH plastic clips broke entirely when I was removing them from my shirt, as I have always done for the past 8-9 months. And the headphones will not stay in my ears without those clips since there's nothing to hold the wire in place, so now they're useless for working out. To me, it's not worth finding replacement clips and earpieces, if such things even exist. It was a great 8 months while it lasted, but for the money I believe there are better workout headphones out there. I'll be buying a different pair and donating these. After all, the sound quality is still impressive!

awesome workout earphones.
Bought it December 2 on prime, surprisingly arrived the next day. But MEE has done well with this set. I was looking for a workout earphones for the gym. However, I'm also a acoustic-sonic freak; so if it doesn't sound great and balanced then I wouldn't like to use it. I've used some higher end earphones but was tired of constantly cleaning and sanitizing them after every workout. I wanted a workout earphone where I can designate as gym-only and I can use my other earphones as casual music listening. Pros: For the price, amazing balance sound, no overwhelming bass like the Beats. I can almost say that I can use these as studio monitors. Highs are good and pronounced but not piercing to the ears, Mids are good to catch the vocals, Lows are not overwhelming but not lacking either. It takes a little bit of time to get use to the around-the-ear if you aren't use to it; but it stays on very good on jogs, sprints, fast pace cross-fit and calisthenics workouts. The volume control on the ear phone mic is a good feature, it don't matter much to me. MEE has done a great job with the packaging presentation with their line of earphones. I don't mind the extra buds, case, arm band and velcro straps. Cons: This can be a pro or con; but for me its kind of a con. I don't like the fact that if I want to use the 90degree angle 3.5mm plug I have to use the extension. I rather they kept it long with the 90degree than having to plug in an extra cord. This is just me! I almost feel like the wire-housing is kinda cheap like the Apple earphones where it tears easy. It hasn't done it yet, but i wouldn't be surprise after long hours of usage. After an hour of usage, the sweat rubbing on the back of my ears with the rubber lining kinda gets annoying. The rubber lining that goes behind the ear is a bit stubborn to get it working correctly. But after fidgeting with it, the earphones stayed fine. If you are looking for a workout earphone that sounds great and stays on your ear and good on the wallet this is pretty good buy.

Thanks for the armband...
I like the simple things in life... a swim in the ocean, a good book, and above all a nice run with my pup. After struggling with an old pair of headphones that wouldn't stay in my ears. I decided maybe it's time to upgrade to possibly a sport specific headphone. Alas, here came "MEElectronics Sport-Fi S6P Noise Isolating In-Ear Earphone with Microphone/Remote/Volume Control, and a Sports Arm Band". Well that sounds fancy. The armband was great! my arms were a bit small but you're able to just pull it tighter until it fits. Now, the headphones. I don't normally leave bad reviews but holy crap these sucked. I have an iphone 5 and I have had the worst time with these (yes that's the present tense because I have yet the time to review better headphones, so I am still using them until I find ones that's work instead of wasting more money). It was great on my first two runs. Stayed in my ears, pandora was bumpin great tunes, Athena (my German Shepard) was lovin life as we ran all over the beach. Run number 3.. everything went down hill. Siri kept poppin up. Turn her off, and now voice control starts. After many internet searches.. I learn I have to now have a lock on my phone to stop them from popping up. Oh, okay. 4th run & I feel equipped with a simple 0000 lock on my phone so I don't have this issue. Nope. I now have the issue of the music constantly pausing. Why!! So I run, and constantly click play, and then other times my phone decides to be the dj and skip songs. >:( very annoying. After more internet searches I learn maybe it's because of the snazzy "remote/ volume control" it may interrupt my song. Urf. All I want to do is run with Athena and not have to attempt witch vodoo with cord twisting to make it play completely through one song. If you know of a good pair of headphones that work well while running, let me know. Please, & thank you.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I found myself in a world of hurt when my trusty Philips sport headphones went bust after one too many washes while in my jacket. It is apparently a lot more difficult to find sport headphones with the wrap behind the ear style in the stores than I thought. Thankfully, I can always rely on Amazon to provide exactly what I'm looking for! I ran into these and they looked promising, but I had never heard of MEElectonics. Judging by the reviews, I took the chance and patiently waited for them to arrive. When they did, I am quite surprised by what I got! These headphones are an excellent value for the price! Sound quality is quite good and they seem well built. I am a little leery about the memory wire design that helps hold the ear bud in place. It does a good job of keeping firm, however. I do have to reposition the wire every now and then, but that's not a tremendous bother. On the whole, I think it should last at least a year or two before I run into any issues...(if I ever do!) Back to the sound quality - I am a real stickler for sound quality. I love my music and own several pair of headphones of varying degrees that have made me somewhat of a snob for sound quality. I listen to all sorts of music, but mostly club, dance, house and disco. I find these headphones have no issues whatsoever with what I throw at them. Don't expect to be blown away - they aren't built as such nor priced as such. They do surprise, however. Bass is quite well reproduced and the mids and highs are done smoothly as well. Perfect for exercising and when I take my 5 mile walk to work and back! They sound much better than my old Philips, which I thought sounded fine to begin with. I also have listened to rock and alternative and they work well with that, too! Bass is not overpowering and seems to be reproduced pretty accurately, for the most part. This is something I really look for, because I hate, and I mean HATE, how Beats headphones have basically ruined the headphone market because everyone seems to think big bass is where it's at now. It's a bit muddy, but not tremendously overpowering. I can live with the slight muddiness, as these aren't anything close to my good headphones. For exercise, they work exceptionally well... I use these with my iPhone 5 and the remote works perfectly with my phone. I haven't tried them on an Android device as I do not own any, so I cannot discuss how well they work with those devices. These are advertised as being universally usable with all mobile devices, though, so I imagine they should work fine. One thing of particular that I haven't decided if I like or hate is the analog volume adjustment on the remote. It works superbly, but when you have been used to pushing buttons that interact with the volume on the phone, it takes some getting used to. In particular, I find that when I adjust the output volume on the phone to work optimally with these headphones, I constantly have to readjust the volume on the phone because everything else works off the phone's volume controls. It's a minor bother, but one that is noteworthy. I do like that the remote is at the joint for the ear bud split. This makes for a more robust connection at that point and puts the microphone at a much more centralized position. Even though the microphone is a bit further away from the mouth than many other headphones that have a mic, I have had no issues with people understanding me - even when it is underneath my parka while walking in heavier traffic situations. That is pretty impressive to me, at least... To my surprise, these headphones come with 6 different sets of ear tips. Finding one that works should be of no issue to many users. I use the double flange tips and they do a superb job of isolating the music from background noise. Excellent when I'm exercising, but could be problematic when walking in the outdoors. I have had no issues, however, as I tend to be quite an observant pedestrian and don't rely on noise to know when things are safe. I do keep my volume levels at a moderate level and these headphones with the proper ear tip do a good job at isolating your music even at those levels. In fact, I love the ear tips that came with these headphones so much, I'm seriously debating getting another few pairs to use with some of my other headphones. They are that good! If you are in need of some good sport headphones, these are a truly excellent choice to go with. They are excellent-sounding, well-built and thoughtfully designed. There are many other choices to choose from, but these headphones stand out in that vast sea of choices. You'd be hard-pressed to find something more suitable for your exercise needs. Happy listening!

Good sound, but annoying to put on and take off
Update after 3 months of use: I'm taking my review down from 4 stars to 2. It is a miserable experience to make the over-the-ear wires to stay put. They stay once they're in the correct position but it's a huge hassle every single time I want to put them on. Also, to make them stay on, they need to be a little tight (at least in my experience). So down to 2 stars because of the annoying and uncomfortable wire. Original review: As to the earbuds themselves, they're great overall. Better than good, but not spectacular either. I'm not an audiophile so I won't get into anything technical, but these earbuds hit the high's and low's just fine (anywhere in my range of musical tastes from orchestral to bass-filled tracks like dubstep). I never listen to anything louder than half of the volume capabilities because above that is just not necessary (these things get LOUD). At the highest volumes, which I tested a bit for this review, the sound distorts some. That won't be a problem for the average person though, who will probably never need music that loud. To get these to fit properly, it will take a few minutes of tinkering the first time you wear them. Afterwards, these earbuds aren't going anywhere. They will fit anyone's ear comfortably. When I first used them, I didn't put the right ear tips in for my size ear and they would slip out some (although never actually fall due to the around-the-ear wire). I tried a couple more ear tip sizes - the earbuds come with 7 or 8 pairs - and haven't had this problem since in the hours I've spent running, biking, hiking, and whatever else. Also a great plus for you active lifestylers - these don't slip out after sweating from exercise. A huge benefit that I didn't even know I wanted - the armband! That thing is perfect. Stays on your arm securely and fits almost any phone (best used with smart phones with a touchscreen). Also has a small pouch to put a key in. The only downside to these earbuds is that they aren't very versatile. It's a hassle to fidget with these to put them on and take them off. For long periods of exercise, that hassle is worth it because no other earbud stays in like these when being active. But if I just want to multitask at home while listening to music or watching videos, it becomes annoying to take them on and off repeatedly. I'd recommend to anyone who likes to listen to music while being active and just want a decent set of earbuds that won't fall out. If you're looking for some all-around decent earbuds, you might want to consider something without a wire.

A Perfect Fit!
I must be hard on headphones or something. In July (of 2013) I replaced a cheap pair I'd had forever when they finally stopped working. By November, I had temporary trouble with not getting any sound in the left ear piece and and then the plastic over the mic broke, exposing tenuously connected wires. So with Christmas gift cards in hand, I went in search of headphones I could wear every day on my commute to work that wouldn't break 5 months from now. I also have tiny ear canals and the over ear design of my last headphones were keeping the buds from falling off completely but didn't actually keep them in my ear. These seemed like a great compromise. Honestly, the wire isn't really strong enough to do much good. But once I found the right size tips, these buds didn't budge from my ears so the wire doesn't matter as much. they actually fit in my ear canal which improves ambient noise blocking and prevents them from falling out. the sound quality is great and I love that they're red. I'm so glad I found these! The armband was just a bonus as I was planning to get one anyway. My iPhone 4S fits with room to spare, but only without a case. The hard-sided case for storing your headphones is great as well 3/27/14- Update: A month or so after buying these, I noticed the sound had stopped working in one ear. I figured out I could fix this by keeping the volume control on the actual earbuds turned all the way up. But that meant I had to adjust the volume using my phone which is annoying. then songs started cutting out a few seconds before the end. Sometimes a new song would start again right away, sometimes there would be a minute or more of silence before music started playing again. I thought my slowly dying iPhone 4S was to blame, but I've since replaced my phone with a brand new 5S and it's still happening. The veinal straw came yesterday and today when the rubber tips on the left and then on the right earbud, the only size that fit in my ears, came off and will not stay securely on the earbud when you put them back on. This is beyond irritating. The product might come with a 1 year warranty, but I use my headphones twice a day every day Mon-Sat. I don't want to be without headphones while I wait for new ones to arrive. it's faster and cheaper in the long run to just buy a new rom a better company. i was not rough on these head phones by any means either. During the day at work they lay on my desk. At home they hand from a hook by my front door until I need them again. I'm not wrapping them around anything, stuffing them in a pocket, etc. What a waste of money.

Nice design, but awful sound quality
It's a shame these headphones, which are comfy, seal well, and are sweat resistant have horrible sound quality dominated by booming, rumbling bass. Pros: Very nice fit. Memory wire above the ears. Excellent sealing and sound isolation. Well designed remote. Sweat resistant. Cons: The sound quality is horrid. Way, way, WAAAY too much bass. I can't even equalize these thumpers to anything close to listenable. I get it: people want bass when they exercise, and most people have lousy hearing because they listen to their headphones at too high a volume, which makes them need even louder and boomier headphones, which further damages their hearing, and so on -- but this is just crazy boomy. I do like extra bass when I workout, yet these carry it to the point that I just don't like listening to them. All I hear is this mass of rumble and boom - it overwhelms the rest of the music! Maybe if I used them on a device with a multiband equalizer that has a lot of cut, I could drop back the bass on these to a good level. Unfortunately, when I workout I use my iPod Nano, and it doesn't have that capability. Some reviewers have complained that there is too little bass, and I'd bet real money that they experienced this because the fit was poor for them. Get a good fit with these, and I promise you'll feel the beat, unless your hearing is poor. Bottom line: I'm sorry to say I really hated the sound of these. In fact, I'm going to go as far as to say that out of something like 24 or 25 different in-ear headphones I've owned over the years, these are the worst sounding. These are even boomier than the Klipsch S4s I had for a short while. Yep, they left that bad of an impression on me. If you love your bass, these will deliver if you get a good fit. But if you want something that actually sounds like music, and not like someone whacking you in the ears with a gong mallet while music plays in the background, pass these by. EDIT: MEE was kind enough to suggest another headphone in their line (the M-Duo), and they even offered to trade up for my Sport-Fi set. Regrettably, the M-Duo is not sweat resistant, which is a feature I need in a headphone for workouts (I've destroyed quite a few headphones with sweat). Even if I don't like the SportFi sound, I appreciate the excellent customer service from MEE.
