A comfortable seat makes a big difference. I first found this seat in a wholesale shop in Taiwan, so I recognized its brother when I saw it for sale online. I have ridden it only in Taiwan and ordered it here for a friend (with a terrible seat, I might add.) I hope he puts it on his bike, because it would be a major upgrade.What I look for in a seat is comfort for long rides. I rode on this one for rides of up to 3+ hours and found it satisfactory. The cut outs are to lower pressure on the peritoneal nerves (or something like that), increasing blood flow through the crotch area. While moving on the seat helps on long rides, seat design makes a difference. It's not how it feels to sit on (one gets used to that in about 500 miles of total riding) but rather the ability to move blood through that area while doing the vigorous work of riding up hills.The synthetic material and workmanship seem tough enough. It's not super light, but not overly heavy. And did I say, it was very cost effective :-)[Some woman-targeted seats are wider. This one is 15 cm (150mm, 6 inches) at it's widest point, which is about average width and good enough for me.] Hence "Lietu eveter mountain bike....15"
