Awesome
The Prismacolor Blending Pencil is a must-have for colored pencil artists looking to achieve smooth, seamless blends. Its colorless, wax-based formula allows for effortless blending without altering the original colors, enhancing vibrancy and depth in your artwork. The pencil format offers excellent control and precision, making it user-friendly for all skill levels. One minor drawback is that it may not blend dark colors as effectively, sometimes leaving a waxy residue. However, overall, it’s an invaluable tool that significantly improves the blending and finishing of colored pencil work. Highly recommended for anyone serious about their art!

Very Versatile and at a low cost; excellent for their intended, advertised use.
Perfect for blending several colors, as advertised. I also found them useful for smoothing out areas where pencil strokes made a little conglomeration of pencil color. I can't describe it any other way; but, I think that folks who use color pencils may know what I mean? I do have a heavier hand, depending on what I am coloring or sketching, so because of this, the softer pencils have a tendency to leave a lumps of pencil here and there. Prismacolor Blender Pencils are excellent for smoothing out your singular color, so that it appears more uniform on paper. They last, I'm not wearing them down significantly in two or three drawings. This leads me to my last point or question and it inadvertently includes these blenders. I have less need for Prismacolor blenders if a larger pencil amount pack were available in the Verithin version. I'm not implying I have zero use for blenders using Verithins because they make the color muted, softer. But, I can burn through the larger, softer pencils in a matter of a few weeks. I have to go to my local art store for the Verithins and buy them singularly. I'm not sure if the demand does not out-weigh the cost to manufacture, order and stock, etc.. But, why can I not find Verithins in the nice tins of 72 or so anywhere? Buying them per pencil is certainly not the cheapest way to go. I'm just glad I can get them locally in the more common colors. In closing and back to the subject at hand, I give these blenders a hands down "Yes" for your pencil box. You'll find them useful in many ways and well worth the cost, which in my opinion, is low like many things on Amazon. Get them!🎨

A good tool to have in my art box!
I am an avid colorist. I love coloring in various coloring books, from pretty flowers to swear words. Coloring relaxes me like nothing else seems to. I ordered these blender pencils to use with my Prsimacolor Premier set. The pencils do not come sharpened, which is good, so you can keep one unsharpened until you need to use it. This prevents the tip from breaking off a pencil you aren't even using yet. I enjoy having the blender pencils, but I also like blending the colors without it. The blender is helpful is smoothing the transition of the colors and makes it look a bit more natural. I have also used these pencils with some of my lesser expensive pencils to see if it works equally as well with them. I used it with my Marco Raffine's and noticed it didn't do quite as good of a job blending the colors, but it still made a small difference. I will most likely stick to using these with my Prismas, but it's good to know I can also use them with other pencils, even if it's not to the same level of blending. The price is a bit high for just two pencils, but they last longer than the colored pencils, since they aren't used as much, so the value is okay, but not great. I will continue to use these unless I find something I like better that is a little bit cheaper. Overall, I recommend the blender pencils for Prismacolor pencils, and tentatively recommend them for other brand, with the caveat they may not blend quite as well with the other brands.

Great blender pencils for use with colored pencils
I purchased these Colorless Blender Pencils to go with a set of Prismacolor's Scholar Colored Pencils as a separate purchase.I have played with them with the Scholar Colored Pencils, and some other pencils that I own, including a set of Oil-Based pencils. In all cases, I was pleased with the way that the Colorless Blenders blended the colors with one exception. In every type pencil I had at hand, the yellow was obscured by the green or orange bordering it. That may, however, be a function of my own lack of familiarity with the blenders. I have used tortillions more for blending color in the past. This two pencil set comes unsharpened, but sharpened in a standard pencil sharpener that I had on hand - a manual one, at that. The pencils come packaged in a blister pack as shown in the listing, and were sent in a larger box with some other items.PROS:Exactly as advertised2 in the setarrived on timeno breakageblend colors wellwork for a variety of pencilsBelatedly, I realized that there was a video on the listing that shows you how to use these. I strongly advise that you watch it (unlike me - wish I had noticed that earlier!)CONS:None reallyCONCLUSION:I can easily see myself using these up and wanting more. The price on this listing was comparable to others, but this one is a Prime listing, meaning I got it quickly and feel very secure about purchasing through Prime. If you have any questions regarding my review, please do ask, and if my review is helpful to you, please consider letting me know by using the voting buttons at the end of the review.
