IF you mean a padded so no shin rubbing? YES!! Been wearing same boot for over 40 years!! Last pair made 5 years beating concrete floors every day, construction, and dance halls as well!! Oil REGURALLY, and take care of!!! BEST EVER MADE!!

Does the shoes have any kind of work steel

Hello. My son is a heavy equipment operator and has worn this brand of boots for years. I believe they have steel reinforced up by your toes but I would check with the company. Hope this helps

how much thinsulate do these boots have?

It doesn't say in the item description nor does it say anywhere on the packaging or boot itself. All I've seen was ultra thinsulate. Either way I would buy these again in the future.
