We just purchased this extinguisher, but the pressure gauge at the top shows 0 (in red). We have not removed the packaging, so should we return it?

Yes, if the gauge shows zero it is either a faulty gauge or the extinguisher has no pressure, which is not good. Get it sent back.

I have to get two fire extinguishers for my fathers boat with a minimum combined fire rating of 10a/68b. Is this one okay for that?

Could well be. Depends how big the boat is. If in doubt buy a couple of buckets. You're surrounded by water.

is the powder sprayed non-toxic?

I dont believe its toxic, as it is usually bi carb of soda powder ejected under pressure. But any powder sprayed into the air, is not good for your lungs. So if you use it in a confined space, evacuate the room, caravan or wherever you havw used it until the dust settles.

What are the dimensions ? H/W/L ect

Hello, thank you for your question. The extinguisher has a height of 295mm and a diameter of 82mm. This does not include the bracket. With the bracket in place it is 300mm in height by 95mm at its widest point.

Good size

We had a small fire and we used the tiny extinguisher we had for hob fires which ran out very quickly. We decided to purchase a larger one and this was the one we picked. Pleased it is larger yet small enough for our kitchen wall. We haven’t used it yet so can’t comment on its efficiency and hope we never have need of it in the future.

A well priced small 1kg extinguisher, ideal for the kitchen alongside a fire blanket. The mounting is decent and stays on the wall with confidence, bear in mind it doesn't come with any screws, rawl-plugs etc. Let's hope I never have to use it, but it's there just in case...
