Cake Stencil
I was having the most difficult time finding a stencil similar to this specifically for cakes that was affordable. In fact, I literally found one that was specifically for cakes and it was ridiculously expensive. I figured - what the heck- I'll use a craft stencil. This worked beautifully! It was a bit difficult to get the edible gold paint the right consistency to work with the stencil since it's not flush with the cake, but I got it, there was minimal bleeding. I expected a little bit, but that was part of the design anyway.
