Raven Series: The Complete Collection (The Raven Series)

I decided to review these as a series as that is how I read them.This is not your Normal paranormal book. I was pretty surprised by the supernatural themes in this story. This story starts out so normal and human. I really wasn't sure where it was gonna go. As the plot begins to evolve, I love how the author wove the drama into the characters' days and events. Most definitely a different read for me, but so far, I am enjoying it. This book so didn't go as I expected. One truth bomb after another to lead the reader down an unexpected path. I won't give any sneak peeks or spoilers as this one you just have to read for yourself. The love, desire, and heartbreak are so well written to get the reader connected to the story. After I got over the new paranormal in it, the romance story with the twists really came to life. I caught myself gasping, shocked, crying, and wanting more.Wow!! This second of the book is captivating. The characters' struggle, decision, and growth are all well covered. I really enjoyed how the author mainly focused on Piper's point of view. Her conflict and emotions are apparent to the reader. One minute you are swooning the next, you are crying. This female character really strengthens in this book. I love how she became her own person, different yet strong. The people in her life still played a part in the story and still assured her and her scattered thoughts. The love story between Piper and Zane is tragic but oh so enthralling. I'm so excited to see what happens next with the characters, the decision, and the conflict.The third book is surprising! This book is interesting as the veil between humans and the paranormal is exposed. Can she save the world? The war and evil in this book are fascinating. I love that our heroine Piper is stronger than previous books but still unsure of herself. The author did a great job of building the character and adding to her paranormal powers. I really loved how much I don't know even in the last book in this series. This book wrapped up perfectly no cliffhangers, minus the blood, gore, and tons of paranormal talents. It was a great romance with lots of action and adventure.I would say this is definitely for a mature audience due to the nature of the series.

YA, kick ass heroine, young love, and the back and forth antics what’s not to love! This is definitely one of the mildest series I have read in a while but it definitely held my attention and kept me turning the pages! “Open your eyes Piper, I want to see you melt when I touch you”…..***insert swoon*** lol!This is a first from this author for me but I’ll definitely be checking out other reads as well!

It wasn’t amazing but it was t bad. There were some parts that didn’t seem super fleshed out. The love story was sweet. The main character could have used a little more development especially when she started training I felt like we didn’t see that development but instead were just told “some time has passed, I have learned stuff.” But over all it was okay. The third book was rushed at the end and dragged in the beginning. But overall it was entertaining and I didn’t hate it.

I highly recommend this book series to anyone who enjoys reading. This was the first book series I read J.L. Weil and now I'm a huge fan. Her writing style is flawless, breathtaking intriguing. The Raven series based on a scale of 1 to 10 is an absolute 10. The whole series kept me on the edge of my seat. It's real page turner I didn't want to put it down. If I had to rate each book individually and reason why is listed below.Book 1: obviously that's when you meet/ get to know characters. Piper I love her spunky attitude. Her quick wit is absolutely amazing. I felt very strongly bad for her because of the experience she had with her mother I myself have gone through that. Zane just sounds incredibly hot and I wish we could all meet a Zane. I rate book 1 a 10. Book 2: being torn between love and what you should do are 2 totally different things. My thoughts always go with your heart. I really don't have much to say on book 2 without giving everything away. I rate it a 10 as wellBook 3: again same as book 2 I will not say much because if I do it will give it away. I will say this though the ending was no disappointment and I really didn't see coming. I rate this book a 10 as well.All in all I plan to more of J. L. Weil books cause they are easily addictive.

Nice plot, but unnecessary long. The MFC sometimes simply stupid, insisting in “teenage rebellion”( you can be a rebel teenager but smart, this is not the case).Way too long for the events in the book.Since the book contain 3 volumes,it is hard to take it on the beach, allthough this should be the whole purpose: nice easy reading by the pool.I am not native speaking english, so I wouldn’t say anything about the writting. But the pacing, as I said, … not.

Excellent books. I loved the characters they made me feel lots of emotion. I laughed a few times reading these books piper is hilarious! So glad Shelby unhappily ever after. I read all there books over 2 days I honestly couldn't put them down.

This series was amazing. It kept you guessing the whole time. The chemistry/bond/angst between Zane and Piper was so well written and the author really had a way of making you feel like you were part of the story. You laugh, you cry, you say what the fuck-a lot. Great, great, great!

Loved the book

Really enjoyed the whole series. I liked the new twist that was put on been a banshee. I thought it was touch and for a while but it all played out beautifully. Most probably unlikely but I'd definitely read a follow up series about their lives ten years on 😍
