BAB10 Amplified Car Subwoofer - 1200 Watts Max Power, Low Profile, 10 Inch Subwoofer, Remote Subwoofer Control, Great for Vehicles That Need Bass But Have Limited Space

This is a perfect "all in one" amplifier and subwoofer. I was looking for something to add that little thump you expect from some bass in your music. This little guy does the trick. Is it going to blow the windows out and rattle your vehicle? No, but if you are looking for that type of bass then you are not going to be impressed. Is it going to provide the low end bass that you want to feel and hear across all genres of music? Yes, you will feel the bass and it gets really loud with a hard punch without going to the shaking the neighbors windows level. Another selling point for this product is the size that allows you to place this in a vehicle with little room unless you want to put a massive box in your trunk/ cargo area. I drive a new Bronco and this fit perfectly under the glove box mounted against the forward firewall on the passenger side of the vehicle. Product is heavier than you would expect, but that also showcases that it is a quality product inside.

I ordered this to add some bass to my 2013 Mustang GT that has the base stereo. I already upgraded the factory speakers and added an amp, and that improved the sound quality. I installed this unit in the trunk since the amp is there so I have access to power, trigger wire, and the speaker inputs. It definitely sounds better with this unit. I may try to move it to under the passenger seat to get the full effect.

BAB10 10”powered subwoofer The amount of bass coming from this little thing is impressive, but location and installation is everything. It doesn’t put out that deep, low, breathing bass that a big ported woofer will but it takes up very little space in comparison. My biggest complaint is the mounting hardware, this thing shakes hard, so rubber grommets help reduce panel vibrations along with some sound deadener and padding. I bought two of them and installed one in a 2006 CRV and the other in a 2008 Mustang. When installed in the back of the CRV, it suffers from a massive bass loss for those sitting up front (it still sounds great). In the mustang I think it sounds great and is plenty loud, enough to vibrate the seats with the correct frequencies. This is great for a factory premium audio sound. I would buy one for my truck but the 10” model is no longer available on amazon. I hope they don’t discontinue this because I would only use the 8” model under a seat.

First, I had one in my truck and it sounded great but this one only does a little and only if I wire it with speaker level. I called customer support and they treated me like an idiot (I might be) and they told me it wasn’t working because it wasn’t under a seat. Now, If I can work on Rauland Borg and Dukane intercoms in schools, I think I know a little about amplification. Boss does make some decent products, I think I’ve got a bad one.

True to Boss Audio, the wattage claims on this are grossly exaggerated. 800 watts RMS, 1200 peak. Oh my! It’s got a 25 amp fuse folks! On a 12 volt system that’s about 300 watts max! I think a lot of consumers still buy these knowing Boss is full of it on claims but the gear is good enough for the cost. I wanted just a little thump for my pickup truck system. Space in my vehicle behind and under seats is scarce. This thing will not blow your long hair around as you lose permanent hearing, it will shake your rear view mirror however. Overall, after a little over a year, I’m happy with this purchase. There may be better alternatives. I wouldn’t know because I haven’t listened to any of those. But this FITS in my space. It’s easy to install. Overall, it’s plenty good enough. My wife and dad find it “annoying.” My kids love it. That’s probably the best review I can offer.

It's a nice addition to the Soundbar I installed on our Golf Cart. It adds the deeper bass the Soundbar lacked. Boss has always made a good product and this is no different. It's only a 10 inch in open air so I wasn't expecting it to rattle the body off the Cart.

I absolutely love all their products In the past I've gotten subs, amps, radios, boat and ATV setups, and now the pre sealed unit, all of it is amazing quality The customer service is too notch too I will continue to recommend them to everyone!!!!
