If im buying this as a gift how do I give them the protection plan if you send it to my email?

By simply having them send the protection plan directly to their email or forwarding it to them yourself.

Is this a one time fee or is this something I have to pay for on a monthly basis?

I had a 4 Year House Protection plan through Asurion for a Comfort Zone High Velocity fan purchased on Amazon. The fan motor weakened over time and the fan blades could barely move. I filed a claim on the Asurion app and explained what happened to an agent in chat mode. The speed of service was great! The agent resolved the issue and told me I would receive an email with instructions. I dropped off my repackaged damaged fan at a UPS drop off and shortly after I received an email instructing me how to obtain my refund in the form of an Amazon e-gift card. I recommend purchasing protection plans through Asurion!
