Wonderful little cookbook! Great classic recipes that I had not seen before. Simplicity at it's best. This would be a wonderful gift as well. I plan on buying it for a couple of people. Very detailed art and photos! Great score for cookbook collectors and those that love western history as well! Enjoy!

Not only is this a good cookbook, but it is an interesting history book. Almost each page has a small strip highlighting some of the old cowgirls that did trick riding, etc. around the early part of the 20th Century.

I bought this cookbook because I bought 2 Cowboy cookbooks and it only seemed right to get the cowgirls side. This book did not disappoint. Besides the recipes, this book features vintage photos and illustrations about cowgirls or things in a cowgirls life. Also interesting and humorous quotes and info sprinkled throughout. My husband wants me to cook the rattlesnake stew. Hmmmm

The content of the book is fine and what I had expected, but the books came with some damage to the spines. The package was torn. One of the books was passable, so I can use it as a gift as planned. The other one is bad, so I guess I'll just keep it for myself.
