I think this sugar tastes great but wouldn't recommend this beet sugar for things like meringue because it seeped out the bottom of my meringue. It did taste like this beet sugar would make great brittles/brickles. This seemed to make my baked goods taste richer, warmer and the butter on the nuts stood out more than the regular granulated sugar in the same recipe. I will probably repurchase once this has been used up.

I absolutely love the taste of this NOW Foods Certified Organic Beet Sugar! It has a clean, light sweetness that's perfect for baking, coffee, and everyday use. It tastes even better than cane sugar! It’s great knowing this sugar is organic, non-GMO, and free of additives or fillers. The purity and quality come through in the flavor. Additionally, the 3-pound bag lasts a considerable amount of time, making it a great value. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a natural, clean-tasting alternative to cane sugar!

Perfect sucrose content for hummingbirds without the nasty pesticide, herbicide, insecticide or fungicide residue sadly found in most white table sugar. Flower nectar is mostly sucrose so a great substitute when nothing is flowering for them.

I've been using this for many years now. I'm sensitive to cane sugar and us this as an alternative. I can't tell the difference taste wise but think it does taste a little sweeter than cane sugar so I use a little less.

Pros~ Good brand, as advertised, organic, tastes good, granulated so mixes well. Cons~ Unexpected intense numbness and tingling in lower legs with only minimal amount.

I'm not really too big on using sugar; I'm more of a honey person. But when I found this sugar, oh my goodness! Now my children and I are able to enjoy sugar in our baking instead of always using honey. I would not stop buying this product.

This is the best cane sugar alternative I've come across. Tastes exactly like sugarcane sugar, maybe a smidge less sweet. If you can't eat grains (grass-family), this is your ticket. I wish they sold it in bulk...I tried the MySpicer brand of sugarbeet sugar & the quality is not the same, so I just keep buying these 3-pound bags. I tried the other alternatives (coconut sugar, date sugar, stevia, etc.) and they all taste too funky for me. This stuff behaves exactly like regular sugar, and is even used commercially in various products interchangeably with regular sugar. I've made everything with it, perfect results - lemonade, cookies, frosting (if you have a high-powered blender like a Vitamix or Blendtec, you can make powdered sugar just by running it on high for a minute or two), etc., everything turned out great! Also, the packaging has been redesigned and it clearly states in 3 places that it is non-GMO. It is Non-GMO project verified as well. I included a picture of the new packaging as of June 2015.

I love using this brand to replace regular cane sugar in recipes, and the difference is almost not noticeable. Doesn’t change color or texture of baked goods. If you have a cane sugar allergy, this is worth trying!

This is a good sugar. We hoped it would help with someone that has allergy to cane sugar. Not sure if this is the answer yet.
