Automotive Technology: A Systems Approach (MindTap Course List)

It was in perfect condition. Has all the info you’re going to need to learn to work on cars. Super informative and has the ASE test questions. Only downside is I haven’t seen an answer key anywhere so I don’t know if I’m getting the answers right. Especially on the ASE style technician A says this and technician B says this who is right?

This book is required reading for my automotive technology course at a local community college. The material is simple to read and most concepts are well explained and made easy to understand. I have enjoyed all that I have read this far.

I ordered this textbook for my son. He says that he likes it and that it is helpful. I will say that it is the largest textbook I have ever seen, even larger than my DIL's nursing textbooks. It is almost 2000 pages long, and those pages are full of text and charts and such. This is an expensive book, but you definitely get your money's worth.

Bought this for my son, who has some automotive background, but wanted information in more detail. Book has over 1700 pages and he really likes this book. Recommended.

Brand new book no rips or tears anywhere, took a while to arrive but definitely worth the price.

It's a good book and it definitely explains what you NEED to know very briefly and concise and it does that very well. The problem I had with this book is that since it tries to be quick and thorough it ends up missing out on some details and walkthroughs. When it comes down to procedures and actual work there is no handholding. You are just told "do this, disconnect that, connect this, remove this, adjust this, make sure that". There are no pictures during these procedures and the book simply assumes you know what you're diving into for the first time. Basically. If you just need a refresher or a shop manual then this is for you. If you need something that will hold your hand and need as much detail as possible. Get a dedicated automotive book for that section of work you're looking to work on, brakes, suspension, engine, etc.

This textbook is one of the few textbooks that is very useful in the real world-after school. It teaches you basic techniques to troubleshoot problems, but also serves as a college textbook. Between this and my machinery's handbook, I am starting to build a small but useful directory of information.

So the books awesome. The condition of the book though was questionable. The covers scratched/marked and a corner is dented for how much I paid for the book I would kinda expect it to be in better shape. But pages aren't torn. This was supposed to be a new book. But seems as iff someone already opened all the pages as the spine of the book has alot of marks and creases.

When I opened my book I was happy to get it but when I further inspected it theres glue spilled all over some of the pages coming from the seam for such an expensive book it's just disappointing
