I bought the NOW Supplements, Taurine 500 mg for my husband. He has cataracts and I heard that it was supposed to be good them. I also read that it is supposed to be good for muscle rejuvenation. The bottle has a purple pull off safety strip that is around the top of the bottle, great feature. And it also has a seal under the lid on the top of the bottle another great safety feature. There is a desiccant pack inside. The capsule is a little big, but I can still get it swallowed easily. I can't smell it, it doesn't leave a taste, and I don't notice any stomach upset after taking it. I didn't notice any negative side effects. The first couple of days I had a slight headache, but I don't know if that had anything to do with starting it. We both are taking it, we take one in the morning and one in the evening with dinner. Easy to take and minimal ingredients. I can't tell you if it has helped his cataracts yet, since he hasn't been to the eye doctor, BUT it sure is good for your muscles! The next day I noticed when we walked, there is a hill that we walk up and it was a little tiring, but this time it didn't seem as bad. I also had an arm that was sore, my knee bothered me and my shoulder hurt, that has also gone away! After we rode in the car for two or three hours it was hard to get out and we both seemed stiff, that is gone, we pop right out. It seems to give you more energy and you recover faster. I ran the weed wacker for the first time this spring and my arms were not as tired as before, and they weren't shaky for as long, I recovered a lot faster. I wish it came in a 250 count bottle. I thought they were a great value for the money and I will buy again.
