Bikram Hot Yoga Towel - Microfiber Non Slip Skidless Yoga Mat Towels for Yoga, Exercise, Fitness, Pilates

I have the pink yoga towel from Good Karma Zone. This is my first yoga towel, I actually had not seen the need for one previously. Now that I have used a yoga towel, I doubt I will go back to not using one! I have been using this towel for the past couple weeks during my yoga, pilates, barre and bodyweight workout sessions. It fits perfectly on top of my standard sized yoga mats. The pink mat is an attractive "dusty rose" color. I like that it isn't a super bright hot pink color. Some benefits to using a towel that I noticed so far: Sometimes I use the yoga mats in my gym. These mats always smell funny, but since I usually walk to the gym I can't bring myself to carry my own mat in addition to my gym bag. Carrying a yoga towel is a lot easier and it provides a clean barrier between me and the smelly yoga mat at the gym! I imagine it would be great for hot yoga, but I haven't tried a hot yoga class yet. I also like using it at home. The towel is machine washable and I can throw it in the wash along with my workout clothes as needed. This helps keep my personal yoga mat cleaner. The towel is very soft and pleasing to the touch. It feels nicer than my mat, so I especially appreciate it during my relaxation pose at the end of my practice. The description states it keeps you from sliding during your practice. This may be true if you slide on your mat due to perspiration since the microfiber would absorb perspiration. But in my case, I slide a little more on the towel than I would on the mat alone. My feet are quite smooth due to the shea butter treatments I have been doing recently (mentioned in another Amazon review). I find I need to wear grippy yoga socks to avoid slipping during certain poses. However, I am not sure that it would be different with any other yoga towel in my case. The fabric is soft and absorbent and that is what counts in a yoga towel as far as I am concerned. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for an attractive, affordable yoga towel. I received a review copy of this product in exchange for an honest review. I have been using it daily for a little over two weeks and will continue to use it.

I ordered this towel because I have started doing a lot of hot yoga. I really love it! It is great for slow yoga and it does stick to your mat. I put some water on it just to help with it sticking a little more. It dries quickly and has a really soft feel. However, if you are going to be doing a Yoga sculpt class or something fast where you have to move quickly it does slide a little. VERY little. I would recommend this product to anyone doing any kind of yoga.

I use this towel exclusively for Bikram yoga, which I practice about 4x/week. This towel is everything I want it to be, and when you factor in the price, I think it's my #1. Here is how it compares to other towels I've tried. Good Karma Zone (GKZ) towel vs. . . .: 2 regular gym towels placed end-to-end (the kind they rent you at yoga studios): GKZ is way better, obviously, because it can't slip apart in the middle the way 2 towels do. Makes me wonder why I insisted on renting towels for so long. Verdict: A decisive win for GKZ here. Lululemon "the towel": Both are lightweight, highly absorptive, and have nice colors that stay true and don't bleed. Neither stays absolutely 100% glued down in place, but I never experience any foot slippage in any poses, including triangle. It's more that you might get a few rumples here and there. I have never wanted to spray the towel with water, either, as some others are saying. I just throw it down dry & go, no problem. Verdict: A tie in terms of function, but since Lulu's in $38… another win for GKZ. Manduka Yogitoes skidless towel: This towel is the best in terms of staying almost immobile during class, but . . . it's about $50, or more -- an insane price for a workout towel. It's also thicker and heavier than the GKZ. Verdict: Yogitoes gets the edge, but at that price, is it worth it? Bottom line: For 14 bucks, this towel is great, an absolute improvement over random gym towels, and lightweight enough to cart around easily with all your other yoga paraphernalia (for such a "simple" activity, it adds up, right?). A smart buy.

I'm not sure how the other reviewers are using this towel, but for me it is slippery, and it moves around for my entire practice - which is very distracting! I have tried wetting it before and it makes no difference. I love the color and it is very soft, but it's not great if you're looking for traction.

This yoga towel works perfectly as long as it is a little bit damp. Depending on how hot the room is and how much you are sweating your own sweat may be enough to keep it in place, yes I realize how disgusting that sounds but any fan of hot yoga obviously loves a good sweat session. My studio has little squirt bottles that I just lightly spray my mat with before laying down my towel and I am good to go for even the sweatiest or most active session. The washing directions say to wash in cold water and not to use dryer sheets with it. I just hang it to dry after it comes out of the washing machine. The towel is almost dry when it comes out of the washing machine, so it doesn't take long to completely dry. Honestly, I have brought it to practice with after it has only been out of the washer for a few minutes and just not sprayed it in class and it worked out just fine. It doesn't hold onto odors or get icky, every time I take it out of the washer it is fresh and ready to go. I am going to order a second towel just so I just don't "have" to wash it every day between my practices.

Great absorbency, but as others have noted it seems to get more slippery after a few washes. I didn't wash before the first usage and my hands and feet stayed in place once the towel was a bit sweaty. But after washing twice, no matter how wet my towel gets, I start to slip. My other complaint is that this barely goes to the edges of my standard size yoga mat. Wish it went to just outside. On the plus side, I haven't experienced any color running (light blue color).

I bought this towel based off of the rave reviews. My old sweat towel was getting old and deteriorating, so I was on the lookout for a new option, and this seemed great. Upon receiving the towel, I was excited as it was very soft and the perfect size for my mat. However, when I began using it during my hot power yoga class, I knew right away that it was a mistake. I had followed instructions and sprayed down the top and bottom of the mat in order to aid in it's sticking, but apparently that didn't help. The towel immediately curled and rippled, showing no sense of adhesion to my mat. When doing any pose the mat would wrap around my feet/hands, making my practice virtually impossible. When floating to the top of the mat I slipped due to the fact that the towel was not stuck to the mat at all. I have never had this problem with a sweat towel. This towel made my practice unbearable, distracting me and causing me to be concerned with safety instead of my yoga practice. I do not take giving this product one out of five stars lightly. This towel has caused me extreme frustration and I have returned it. It is a distraction, safety hazard, and overall inadequate product.

I avidly do yoga and this product has become a staple in my daily routine. Not only is it exactly as advertised but it exceeded my expectations. For the low price that it was at (compared to how highly priced similar towels were at) I expected a product that reflected the lower price point. Needless to say I was highly mistaken! Now that I have experienced how well this towel gets the job done, there is no way I can justify a higher priced towel that does the same thing. Not only does it stay flat on my mat with little to no movement but it soaks up my sweat like the dri-fit material that my clothing is made of! The only drawback I can find is it isn't as flashy as some of the higher priced towels I've seen, which honestly I could care less about. The colors are as they appear in the picture which is enough for me. I'm super impressed with this product and can't wait to purchase more.
