Great rust remover
This stuff is absolutely fantastic. I sprayed some on and then wind up, having to use a paintbrush to spread out more evenly and before I could finish, spraying all of the rust the other part of the rust was already gone within like 10-15 minutes. I love this stuff. I would absolutely recommend it.

It Works
While my large shop is climate controlled I still have to deal with the never ending rust problem. I have bought and used every rust remover known to man. Some work and some meh. Saw this product and ordered it to see how it performed. Received it yesterday and tried a few squirts out on the table of a large hollow chisel mortising machine I have. Did not clean the area I squirted it on at all. Did not wait the suggested time. Darn, it works. Worked very well. Now to go back and follow the instructions.

Applicator Nozzle
Great product, works well. Rust-Oliumneeds to improve the spray nozzle applicator. Difficult to apply product

Spreads like jelly.
It works. Comes out as a gel. Would be nice if it sprayed out instead of just a stream. Would make coverage better. Don't expect a sandblasted finish.

Rust remover
Worked on minor rust but had to use multiple times for heavy rust. Still didn't remove all rust.

Works as advertised, very pleased. 20+yr old rust mostly removed with 2 treatments.
Works as advertised. I had a gate that had 23yrs of old paint and rust with no care ever. Sprayed on a heavy coat and let it sit for 30-45min. Then rinsed off and it removed 75% of the rust. Waited overnight and hit it again tonight and this go around it took off 90% of the remaining rust leaving only some small patches that may be rust or sun cooked paint (Phoenix area) that need to be hit lightly with a wire brush.Definitely worth the 2 bottle investment to prep the gate for new wood slats and paint.

There is no discernable evidence that the product works as advertised
I recently had to use and try a variety of products to loosen the zinc plated steel slide mechanism used in my filing cabinets...I should preface that due to heavy moisture environment that the cabinets were stored in the past few years, the rust problem was severe...I could not open the cabinets even with great force. The problem was the file slide mechanism w/ ball bearings were so corroded that the slide mechanism simply did not yield to any normal yanking/pulling force. Given the aforementioned, I tried a variety of products, including Rust-Oleum, Liquid Wrench, Naval Jelly rust removal, and of course the usual household lubricants such as 3 in 1 oil, WD-40, graphite, liquid Teflon and whatever lubricants I had around the house. I had high hopes for Rust-Oleum as it is more expensive and more "professional " sounding. The Rust-Oleum Rust Dissolver Gel acted the part by generating a "foaming" action on the rusted part, but after multiple tries I cannot detect any rust removal, meaning the corroded metal looked pretty much the same as before and tiny protrusions of rust were still intact on the glide surfaces. After multiple applications over a few days, the slide mechanism was still stuck and despite being yanked very hard in an attempt to free up the frozen parts, I could not get the slide mechanism to move even a few millimeters after multi days of Rust-Oleum applications. Using a rag to remove residual Rust-Oleum , and WD40, it appeared that the WD40 ( which also failed to work to loosen the stuck glide system, actually showed more rust ( judging by the color and residue on on the rag) particles were removed than the Rust-Oleum Rust Dissolver. In conclusion, Rust-Oleum Rust Dissolver performed miserably or not at all. Very disappointing indeed.
