Having been typing for over 4 decades, I'm now starting to have carpel tunnel issues. I want to avoid surgery if at all possible, but don't want to do permanent damage by just letting things go. A friend suggested I try wrist supports at night as she had the same problem and after six months had no more pain. For $25 a pop it was well worth a try. I'm very pleased to say that as soon as I put these on the pain subsides. I've now been using them overnight for about a month and find that when I take them off in the morning (with the metal support from the palm to the end of the band it's a bit difficult to type with them on) the pain doesn't start until the afternoon and then it is significantly less. Although they cover the entire hand and down the arm about 3 inches, covering the wrist, they aren't hot which is a problem for women "of a certain age" - especially during the hot summer months! I'm very encouraged that these may be the alternative to surgery. They're comfortable and seem to be doing the trick. Thank goodness for friends and for products like this!

Works beautifully, but you have to be sleeping or relaxing. This isn't a product for an active lifestyle. So please don't buy it and then give it a poor review because you're limited in your activities. You have to use it while sleeping or relaxing. It's not comfortable otherwise. Though I can see people using it during workouts. That's probably the only time you can use it effectively.I cannot take care of my baby while wearing these as I needed them for both hands. But they help stabilize my thumbs and my wrists. I feel if I wore them more and actually used as directed, I would be in better shape. For now I can't because of the little peanut. So I wear them when I get glimpses of rest or sleep.

I have De Quevains and needed a new splint for sleeping. I do not need the thumb support at night so this splint worked out fine. I have a small wrist so this is not as snug as the lace up or the multiple strap splints, but it keeps my wrist from bending forward. I keep the top strap fastened and only use the bottom strap so I only deal with one strap to get on and off. The best feature is the fabric. It is smooth and does not have the velcro that snags on material.Oct 2021 I am ordering this again, even though the velcro has not remained tight. I have a trick that serves to help keep it on and keep it clean when I wear it out in this Pandemic. I took a black socks and cut the toes off and cut a hole for my thumb. This has worked great for me.

I had surgery on the top of my wrist to remove a cancerous tumor. The brace that was recommended would not go on with so many stitches on top and massive swelling. This brace was perfect. I've got larger hands and the thumb hole was tight for a couple of days when the swelling was at its worst, but it was fine otherwise. The design allowed me to make it comfortable at all times. Great protection for my use.

I initially liked it as it was basically functional and not difficult to put on. But, it it stopped holding tight way too soon. Now the hook and loops just do not hold at all. Also,the price has increased. It was ok as a short term (frugal) solution but I will replace it with a better/pricier brace. One more thing... it is nearly ambidextrous and with mini changes it could work for both right and left wrists.

These fit fine and are comfortable. I just wish either RiptGear or Amazon knew that people have both a right and left hand. The picture on Amazon shows this brace on both hands. I tried to purchase a left and right but was shipped two rights. I asked to return one and get a left. Amazon brought be another right the next day. Amazon only lets you answer the questions they ask and don't ask all pertinent questions. This screws up communication. I wrote that I needed a left hand brace on two different tries, then gave up and sent two back, now I sleep with one on my right hand and a different bulkier brace on my left hand. Amazon should be rated 1 star for poor communication.

Works as advertised. I purchased a left and a right. I am wearing them throughout most of the day and I can feel the stability and reduced pain in my wrists. I can type and do most things with my hands I need to throughout the day while wearing them and getting support. I recommend these wrist braces by RiptGear because they are well made and seem to be working as I wanted by supporting my wrists and minimizing the pain I have without support. First one lasted several years of use at the fitness center with weights. Stitching below the thumb “hole” lost stitching over time and became rough, but I inserted smooth gauze to avoid abrasion.
