LEGHEADS 6 Inch M8 IKEA Replacement Furniture Legs, Superior Quality Couch Legs, Sofa Legs, Bed Risers - M8 / 8mm (Metric/IKEA) 4 pieces

I'm trying to buy longer legs for my couch. My couch has M8 hangars holes. I know this because I measured the bolts of the original legs...hey seller... M8 legs means 8 mm...fyi...it's metric...As you can see from my photo, my M8 bolts are quite a bit larger than the hanger bolts that come with the legs that these people claim have M8 bolts. The bolts for the legs that you are buying are 5/16th.Seller, please correct your listing.There are numerous sellers that claimed to have M8 hanger bolts but when you have a close look at the picture the measurement of the bolt is 5/16 of an inch. That is not an eight. It's close but it will not work. I'm very frustrated right now and wish that sellers would learn the difference. This is the second set of legs I've had to send back because of wrong descriptions.

Numerous Q&A, etc say they come with the mounting plate. Like this:"Legheads will work perfectly with the Ikea Kivik and look awesome as well. The Kivik does not have screw in legs so you will need to attach the legs by drilling a hole and using the attachment plates that come free with our legs.Here are step by step instructions:"So, I bought these as they have what we need and have 1 day shipping so I can get them in time. Nope, not the right stuff, had to run to the hardware store. Which has 5/16" threaded plates. So, hacksaw, moly grease and lots of twisting and I got them mounted.Legs themselves are fine, as expected.

We needed to raise an Ektorp chair and sectional sofa so that a medical lift could be allowed enough clearance under them.We had tried wooden riser blocks which lifted the furniture but was unstable because they would buckle and fall out from under the chair if it was scooted across the floor. Those risers got returned.These legs worked great as total replacements. We just unscrewed the original legs and screwed these in their place. The furniture's seating surface is now about 3.5" higher than before which makes it easier for my disabled mother to get in and out, it also allows her sit to stand lift to roll right under the furniture when needed.

I noticed that legs on furniture are super in right now, and I love the look. It also allows a roomba to vacuum under furniture, which is great. These legs are adorable, but not the sturdiest things. Like we will have to pick this thing up to move it very, very carefully. It really could be that we screwed them onto a Target pressed wood shelf, and it may not be the legs' fault at all. If you are going for a look, I would DEFINITELY recommend these. If it's for a piece of furniture that you will be sitting/possibly standing on, maybe look elsewhere? However, it could totally be that we picked the wrong type of material to use them on.

I inherited a file cabinet drawer. It is really nice, has one locking file cabinet and one smaller drawer on top, but it was on wheels and needed to be taller to be by the bed. I bought these to raise it up a bit. I did have to drill a little to make the screws go all the way in, but the look is PERFECT! These look amazing and I feel are very high quality. They arrived quickly and were packaged well. I would definitely recommend this product if you're looking to spruce up your furniture!

I installed these on an Ikea Landskrona 4 seat sectional and it immediately upgraded the look. No issues installing and prove to be as durable as the Ikea-supplied legs. I have a dog and 2 year-old jumping on and off the sofa all the time and have slid it around multiple times as well. No apparent issues and haven't noticed any scratch marks on the floor.

Purchased to replace original ones on a very well built couch however, one of the legs split in two for some reason. In looking at the others, the metal shaft was bent on two others. These went on very well and actually have a wider base at the top (where it touches the couch) than the old ones so feel it will add more support. Very pleased with the purchase which will hopefully gain us many additional years with a couch we love.

These legs fit perfectly on my Ikea Besta cabinet - no additional hardware needed. One word of caution, though - the screws were longer than the frame depth, so after screwing them in tightly, they broke through the inside of the cabinet just a bit. Not a problem, as it is the inside, covered by doors, but could potentially ruin a different piece of furniture. I just didn't think about it before screwing them in when the piece was upside down. Love the look and very sturdy!
