Country Life Maxi-Hair Plus 5,000 mcg Biotin, 120 Capsules

From the negative comments, it sounds like the changed the formula from what it used to be. I'm not sure if they changed it back or what, but I've seen incredible success from this for hair loss with no side effects. And as for the comments complaining about the price, it was extremely cheap to begin with. Compare its price to that of other multivitamins and it's still cheaper. For what it does, it's still DEFINITELY worth the price. I have male pattern baldness, I'm 28 and my Dad was bald by the age of 29. Up until 3 months ago, I had no baldness in the center of my scalp, but noticeable receding of my hairline, mostly on the right side. I've been using these for about 3 years or so, but stopped about 3 months ago, thinking I could go without it and it probably wouldn't have much of an impact on my hair considering I take Finasteride and use Rogaine as well. HUGE MISTAKE! For the last several months since I stopped taking it, I had been seeing massive clumps of hair on the drain stopper after taking a shower (I have long hair as well). Before I had stopped taking them, the center of my head was fine. There was no bald spot, aside from a small bald spot on the back of my head. After a couple months since I had stopped, I found it extremely difficult to comb my hair in a way that isn't revealing baldness in the center of my scalp. It has now been about 3 weeks since I started taking it again and I'm now seeing shockingly little hair. And on top of that my hair in the center of my scalp appears much thicker, meaning when I comb my hair, it's a lot easier to hide any baldness. It appears to be vanishing almost completely, reversing any of the damage I did when I stopped taking it. I'm never really compelled to write a review (don't know if I have in the past or not, too lazy to check), but after the results I've seen after taking this again, I felt I needed to.

This is my first ever Amazon review. I had to come and leave a review for these because WOW! Last year I did gel manicures for 6 months leading up to my wedding. This ruined my nails causing them to become paper thin and split down the middle. For a few months I was trying everything and they would not get better. I bought these and within only 5 days I noticed a major change. 3 weeks later and my nails are stronger than ever. BUY THESE, THEY TRULY WORK! Side note, I take 2 capsules a day instead of 4. Also, TMI but they make your pee neon yellow at first but that went away lol

First, let me state that I am female and I have an auto-immune disorder and have to take medications that was affecting my hair. My hair was noticibly thinning, and the hair by my temples was almost completely gone and I could see other thining areas and bald spots appearing; my hair was shedding excessively. My hair care person mentioned these to me, and told me about another client of hers who had good results with them. I ordered them immediately, as I was willing to try anything. I took them religiously, and within two months noticed my shedding had reduced a lot, I also noticed that hair growth in the areas I had excessive thinning was starting to come in. I've been taking these for six months now, and the results are amazing, I have no more balding areas, the worst areas around my temples and forehead have grown back. Last month, I thought maybe I could try a different brand and save some money, so I did since it seemed like it would be a good product. I took the other supplements for three weeks, and noticed my hair shedding increased within that time frame. I stopped and ordered my maxi-hair plus. I'll continue to take these. They work.

Great hair vitamin and besides hairfinity, this is the only thing that helps my hair to be healthy And maintain length. I took it for 6 months and gained 3/4 to 1 inch of growth a month. I stopped for two weeks because of the high dosage of biotin making my face breakout, but i read a hairstylist's review that it will only make you breakout for about 2 weeks because it gets rid of all the nasty toxins in your body and then your skin will become flawless so im back on them. my nails are stronger, my hair is stronger and thicker and healthy, and my skin is glowing. Keep in mind, I'm 24 and have been transitioning since november 2014. I only take 3 vitamins a day, but now that my body is used to them, I'm going thinking about switching to 4. I have 4b hair and wouldnt have been able to get this far without maxi plus. I have a 5 year hair goal that involves me reaching waistlength in 5 years. I believe i will be able to reach it with these vitamins. By the way they give you a boost in energy and make your pee turn bright yellow. But i recommend that everyone give them a try. The only reason why i didnt give them 5 stars is because of the 2 week breakout, the bight yellow urine, and the fact that they take a while to work since they are time release capsules. But if you stick to them, you will see results! Good luck!

These were recommended to me by a dermatologist when I saw her for suddenly thinning hair. I'm a 30 year old male and it was affected the top/back part of my head. We talked about other options but she said these vitamins have worked well for some of her patients. In less than a month I noticed less shedding in the shower and now after several months I can feel its thicker with my hands. In the beginning I did get two of the most noted side affects: headaches and acne. BUT they went away quickly and seemed to only be as my body adjusted to the biotin. After two days at 4 pills I was getting a headache in the evening so I cut the dosage down to 3 pills for several days and drank more water. When I added the fourth pill back I just made just that I spaced them out better so that I wasn't having too much in my system at one time and I haven't had a headache since. With the acne, my forehead broke out all along the top and to be honest it was kind of intense. The addition of much more water into my daily routine and topical acne medicine took care of it in about a week. I'm glad that I stuck with it because the results have been even better than I imagined.

I bought this product almost two months ago and so far, i can tell a slight improvement in my hair, skin and nails. I see some reviews on here saying that they have seen no change at all but i know it takes about two months to flush out your system and allow the biotin to start taking proper affect. Around the two month mark your bottle and if you have been taking the suggested 4 pill a day dose then you should be almost out and ready for a new bottle. This can make people disappointed. DONT GIVE UP! Order another bottle and continue and if you still see no change then switch to a product with a higher biotin dosage; people are not made the same and some bodies need more than others.

After suffering from pneumonia, my doctor recommended that I take a multi-vitamin. I decided to go the "vain" route and take a hair/skin/nails vitamin with the same vitamins and minerals you would find in a regular vitamin. I started taking this Maxi hair plus in April 2013. It has been four months and my hair is the longest it has every been. It grows approx. 1 inch a month. I try to maintain that growth by using heat sparingly. I take two pills at lunch and two at dinner and I also drink plenty of water when I consume these pills. The side effects are it will make you break out if you do not consume enough water and they make your urine a neon yellow color. I did not see results until the middle of the second bottle, but my physician recommended that I give a vitamin a 60 day trial period. These pills have worked well and I also have not had any additional sickness from communicable diseases (such as the flu ect). Overall, I am very pleased.

Reasonable price for a good product

Ive used this product for 3mths but I’ve realized change of smell one bottle capsules had a strong smell with the yellow capsules had in black/ blown things I wonder if it’s normal!!! But It has really improved my hair
