A Quality Shirt for the Price
I am not in the military. I admit I don't know how a "combat" shirt is supposed to fit. I'm an electrical utility worker. I bought this shirt as another warm layer to work in. As far as the fit goes, I wear XL and this shirt fits pretty much like every other XL out there. I don't find it too big or a "weird" fit as other reviews have claimed it to be. It is a little longer than most, which is a plus in my book. The color is the same shade of brown as the picture but a little darker. The sleeves are plenty big enough and the pockets are a good 5" wide by 6" deep by about an inch or so of space. There's another zipper pocket compartment under that is the same width and length. My big complaint is that I picked this shirt over the others out there because it's listed as 100% breathable cotton. This shirt is a poly-blend, 80% cotton in the body and only 35% in the sleeves. The other thing I don't like about it is that the neck is a bit wide. It's a mock turtleneck that flares outward a little rather than conform to my neck. The product picture shows it tight to the manikin's neck, but there's about two fingers of space between my neck and the collar. In my line of work, if I'm out hiking a pole line and beating through the bushes it makes for a big collection trap for leaves and stuff to fall down into the shirt and down my back. Not that most shirts don't have this happen, but the flared mock turtleneck tends to act as a scoop for it all.Overall, I'm happy with it for what I bought it for.

Excellent tactical shirt for range or field use
I was skeptical at first due to the shirts color on the amazon listing looking more Greyish than black, but when it arrived it was definitely Jet black. The size i ordered was 2 XL since i am 6'3" 295 lbs/HWP to toned individual and the shirt didnt feel too tight or too loose, was able to bend and move around in light/heavy tactical vests and a camelback with no issues. The material was also tougher feeling than expected which was great, in particular the arms and elbow area. Turtle neck could be bigger but i wasnt too worried about it. The zippers (under arms and in arm pockets) would be the only thing i would think about modifying myself because they are tiny and feel a little flimsy, but nothing that cant be fixed with either cord or attaching material in place of the zippers. All aside this shirt is great, i took it to the range and outdoors and so far i have had nothing but a good experience with it, and i would recommend it to anyone in and out of military or government service US Army Cavalry soldier here, 8 years prior service

Not bad, for the money
Not bad, for the money. Its got that sort of "black, but fade to brownish" thing going for it with the fabric the body is made of. The collar stretches too wide and doesn't really have any elasticity to it, so it stays that way. Velcro patch panels on the sleeves are good, stitching is good, fit was good. Only problem with fit for me was the sleeves are too narrow and don't stretch, so I can't pull or roll them up because they wont fit over my forearms. Best I can do is roll the cuffs up a couple times and show off my sexy wrists. Overall I'm sticking mostly with my Massif shirts, but I'm not disappointed with this one.

Great shirt
I certainly would recommend this shirt. I usually wear a Large to X-Large as far as shirt sizes go and after reading a few of the top customer reviews, I decided to stick with the smaller of the two, since that is what they recommended. After receiving it and putting it on it seem to fit just right except for in the upper arm area. I'm a muscular guy and have a little bit of size to my biceps. I can still wear it no prob, however if you are broad in the shoulders and/or have big arms, I would say NOT to go the next size down, just stick with your usual size. Other than that this is a well made product for sure! The only other thing I would note is I wished they made more of a detailed picture of the pockets on the arm areas. each pocket has a 'mini' pocket out the outside that has no sealable covering (flap) over it. these mini pockets are about 2 x 3 inches. very handy indeed.

Good but not great.
It fits! Not a great shirt but it works. I did not go with the suggested one size smaller. If I had, I think everything but the neck would have been too small. I'm a tall muscular guy, the length of the shirt is great, sleeve length is great but is tight around the upper arm area, feels like seams may be stressed and taking the shirt back off is a bit of work because of this. The neck is very large, not sure why. Looks a bit goofy in my opinion but I bought the shirt to train in not win contests. If they did something about loosening up the sleeves a bit, for their sizes, and making the neck smaller, because you could easily push a jack o lantern through it, this would be a great shirt to buy. If you are a larger xl like me 6'3" 260, do not order next size down. You'll be let down and have a useless shirt.

Not a bad buy
Well, I only ordered this one, because the other one I ordered doesnt come in for 3 weeks (for some stupid reason, even though I ordered it 2 weeks ago)Anyway, enough digressing. The abdomen and chest part fit fine. ***As the other orders said, order 1 or 2 sizes down, I normally wear a XL at 5'8, 190lbs. But I ordered a large, and had to send it back for being too big. So I ordered a medium.***The arms are fit fine, but are somewhat un-flexible. Hopefully they just require breaking-in.One con though, the neck hole is super super tight.Overall, well constructed, but the sizing issue is a bit annoying.

Clothing for the Coming Public Meltdown
The shirt is well built, but the sleeves are way too long for me. I had to get this size to fit my shoulders, but I think that I can find a tailor to take in the sleeve cuffs for a better fit. For now, I shall have to blouse the sleeves and tighten the cuff to keep my hands from getting covered. A short sleeve version of this shirt would be great if I can find one.
