Way better than the silicone handles
I purchased the two pack. Both of them work on any size skillet so I decided to use the smaller one for my 8 inch and the larger one for the 12 inch I plan on purchasing another set for my 10 inch. They came in a decorative box so you can give it as a gift. And they’re nice thick heavy stitched leather. The thing that I like the most is that they’re snug on the handle and don’t slide like the silicone ones do. You still need to remove it if you’re putting it in the oven but that’s easy enough to do.

Well Made Thick Leather But Tight Over Handle
I like that this is a small business here in the USA that puts an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship. This is a well-made handle cover that will last forever and thick enough to not have to worry about burning your hand. However, it took some effort to slip it over the handle and then it was difficult to remove. It seems the gap is a bit too small to easily slip over the cast iron handle. The other thing I noticed was that it is hard on the palm of your hand. The edges of the cover have some thickness to them and are very firm which makes holding a pan/skillet in your hand uncomfortable. Maybe it depends on the size of your hand or how worn in the leather gets but, straight out of the box you felt it. I think what would help is to shape the cover like an hour glass so it sits in the palm nicer. I think a little improvement in this area would make this handle cover the only one you will ever need.

Great for personal use and gift giving!
I have these products myself and love them! Not having to grab a pot holder or towel every time you need to move the skillet is awesome. They may seem stiff at first, but no worries. They’ll break in in no time ;) I love them so much that they have become a staple when it comes to wedding shower gifts or any holiday gift. Very classy and timeless look and a useful product in the kitchen.

Great Quality Leather - Thick and Durable
The Merry Oaks handle holder is great quality, thick and (I think, since I only just got it) durable, and a very good value. The only reason for a 4-star-only review: It is so stiff that I couldn’t even get them to open to put on the handle. I solved this by wetting them all the way through—yes, held them Un der running water for 10-20 seconds—which softened them enough to put them on the handle. It worked. (You can do this with leather shoes, too, by the way, so that they mold to the shape of your feet. Don’t be afraid to try it.)

BEST ON THE MARKET
I have purchased different brands of sleeves and these are by far the best I have purchased..They are thick, well made, fit well on all my pans..Short sleeve on the left Wagner and Gate marked pan..Long sleeve on the rt Griswold 1 1/2qt hearthstone and unmarked ridged pan..I use my pans every day and must have a good quality safe sleeve..I am a very mature senior so quality and safety comes 1st..To put these on I set the pans on their side using the stove grates to stabilize the pan than shimmied each into place..I am planning on purchasing more for my other cast iron pans...

Thick, high quality handle cover
Fit excellent over Wagner 5, 8, and 10 sized pans in addition to a 12" lodge. Really thick leather with heavy duty stitching. Having a seam surround the entire handle insulates the handle very well which is great. I'm surprised how good the price is considering it's made in USA too! The tight fit wasn't a problem for me. I think its actually good having no slippage for stability.
