can these be used for three whole punched regular US letter sized paper?

Thank you for your interest in our ACCO Premium Prong Fasteners. These fasteners are for standard 2-hole punch with 2.75" centers.

How many pages will these hold ?

I am unsure as I have never exceeded its capacity. However, I am confident you can get 50 - 75 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 plain copy paper to fit. Perhaps you could get as many as 100.

Will these rust when sewn into face masks that are machine washed & dried often?

I would assume so but I would not put these in a face mask.
