Buy Lip Balm Empty Container Tubes 3/16 Oz (5.5ml), Pack of 12; Natural (Translucent) Color: Balms & Moisturizers - desertcart.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: Great quality - These are great containers. If you need more than 12, it's much cheaper to buy in bulk, but if you are just making a small batch or trying to decide whether or not homemade lip balm is the thing for you, these work great. I would recommend them to anyone, and would definitely have purchased more if I was making small amounts at a time. I bought them for my first time making lip balm, because I thought I'd never make it again. I love the fact that they are clear, it makes it easier to fill, and when using it you know when you are almost out (I hate when I run out of lip balm halfway through a day). They are very good quality, and I have been very happy using them. I was actually surprised, these containers make the finished product look very professional. Review: Great value, excellent quality - These empty container tubes were PERFECT for my DIY essential oil lip balms. They are clear with white lids allowing you to see exactly how much you have left, no more worrying if you are about out. I loved the way the lids fit nice and snug. They came in a bag with the lids off so the first thing I did was count them to make sure there were 12 matching sets. They were very easy to fill. My recipe used beeswax, coconut oil, and peppermint essential oil. I melted them together over a double boiler in a pyrex 1 cup measuring glass with spout. I poured the melted ingredients into each one and let it firm up. The finished product looked professional yet DIY. I gave them as gifts and I am planning on purchasing more.

Excellent for DIY lip balm!
I've started making my own 100% organic lip balm. I thought it would be fun and easy to make & it is! I ordered these lip balm containers so I could fill them up with my homemade lip balm and give to family & friends to try. They worked great and so far everyone loves them. I used a plastic container filled with rice to stand the containers upright while I poured the lip balm in. Stuck them in the fridge for about an hour so they could set and pulled them out and they were ready to go! I even added some lipstick to some of them to give them a tint. These containers are easy to use and work great. I will definitely be buying more of these since the price is right!

Good tubes, but not as pictured.
I decided to make lip balm for gifts. I prefer tubes to lip balm tubes, so I ordered these, and they worked well for me. They feel well-made, with sturdy plastic. It's easy to twist them up and down, and the lids fit snugly on the top. I used them with hot, very liquid, melted oils, and I didn't have any problems at all with them leaking or melting. I like the fact that they're clear so I can see how much is left in each tube. They hold the same amount as any brand-name lip balm you'd get at the store (Blistex, Chapstick, etc.). There are a couple drawbacks that I've noticed. The first problem, which is glaringly obvious, is that the tubes I got have clear caps instead of the white ones shown in the photos. It doesn't give a color in the product description, but when I ordered, I expected to get what I saw in the photo. The other problem is with the caps, If you angle the cap just a little bit off, it's very difficult to get on; you have to make sure it's pretty much straight up and down for it to go on easily. I feel like the caps on store-bought lip balms are a little more forgiving, but that's just what I noticed. Overall, I'm happy with these tubes, though they weren't quite what I expected from the photos. I'd buy them again, and probably will since I used up all of the ones I bought!

Good quality and no leaks...lids stay secure.
Just recently purchased and used these for homemade lip balm, and they work great. The caps are secure, and I've had no issues with putting the balm up or down. The only thing I noticed after I poured the balm was that one of them was screwed half way up, so unfortunately I didn't get a full lip balm. I consider that user error though, next time I will check them all before filling.

Pretty good but not for me
I wanted to put Vaseline/petroleum jelly in these (I have two large tubs to go thru - don't ask lol) but the jelly isn't solid enough I guess; it seems like it's spilling over the screw cap into the cavity of the tube. I'll have to go with a more lipgloss-like container. I still gave 3 stars because they seem decently well made; it seems like they would work for more solid substances, they just didn't work for what I wanted them for.

Lip Balm Empty Container Tubes 3/16 oz.
I bought these to pour my homemade organic lip balm into. I was apprehensive at first because I didn't know if they would actually work like the type of tube that holds Chap-Stick, but they do!!!! After my balm solidified I could twist it up and down and snap the well-fitting cap back on. They are made out of solid plastic and are not flimsy nor weak in any way. They don't hold a lot, but with homemade balms I don't really mind because I don't want the balms to spoil over time. I just ordered two more bags of these and am looking forward to making all sorts of different lip balms and giving them away. I think these can be re-useable and will try when I get some empty ones back. I plan on washing them in hot, soapy water to remove any traces of the previous balm oils. These are great!!!

Fantastic DIY Lip Balm Tubes
These tubes are fantastic for people who want to make their own lip balm or carry travel-sized portions of other products such as deoderant. I used these tubes to make travel-sized deoderant sticks (for on-the-go, travelling, and camping) and they worked wonderfully. They are made of a decent weight of plastic and held up when I poured boiling liquid into them. A note when pouring liquids: Make sure to leave a bit of room at the top of the tube in case your liquid expands when it cools. I've carried one of these tubes in my purse for weeks and it has taken a battering, but does not show any signs of wear.
