U.S. Air Force Veteran Chrome Motorcycle License Plate Frame

First, I sought out this veteran mounting plate after moving to Florida and finding that they don't provide any "service related plates" for motorcycles - as Ohio does. They only offer a red/white/blue sectioned in thirds, that anyone can get. So a big Thumbs Down to them on that!Now, overall this plate looks nice. It's a good thickness, quality and detail. The 3D embossed lettering is crisp and stands out nicely. I'm not sure if the seller ever put one on a MC though? The nameplates are attached to their own raised plate which was either forged or welded, so again, it's a nice finished look, but that makes them raised above the license plate attachment holes about 1/8" or so. The frame fit over the license plate and aligns well. However, the heads of the top mounting bolts (which are security raised star type machine screws that need the special wrench to install/remove) and the factory bottom red reflectors/bolts don't sit flush since they all overlap the nameplate edges slightly. This is disappointing and the reason for only 4 stars. It should have been thought out better with more space provided for various mounting bolt heads to fit flush. I ended up using 1/4" neoprene washers on top of the mounting holes which were able to compress and flex somewhat and although still slightly angled, it's less obvious if your not looking for it. Time will tell how the embossed nameplate holds up, but since my bike is garage kept, I hope it wears well.
