and I hate stopping books partway through
I stopped reading at 29%, and I hate stopping books partway through, but I just couldn't do it anymore. *SPOILERS* Lenore and Griffin briefly met when he bought batteries from her store. Shortly after, he broke into her house, woke her up in the middle of the night and had sex with her...while she very happily obliged...what??? These 2 didn't even know each other's names, it was bizarre. Then, they are all of a sudden going on dates together and sharing their life stories. I just couldn't do it anymore, it was WAY too unbelievable!! There was no character development, the book just jumped into sex and these two being together. I like a story to develop, the characters to emerge, this book was not for me.

5 STARS! I LOVED IT!!
READ AND REVIEWED ON BEHALF OF RED CHEEKS READS“This couldn’t be happening. Not to me. Not to him.”Griffin Storm is lost. Now on the other side of the divorce from hell, the single dad is doing his best for his little boy. As a Texas Ranger, he knows just how unjust of the legal system he’s sworn to uphold and protect can be. But it’s after the brutal murder of his young son that he experiences that injustice firsthand and something in him shifts. Now assigned to Uncertain TX, he’s found kindred spirits in the Uncertain Saints MC, a brotherhood of disillusioned law enforcement officers who have all suffered the tragic loss of a loved one at the hands of a criminal who hasn’t been made to pay for that crime.“I was destined to be disappointed…”A lifelong resident of Uncertain TX, Lenore Drew is no stranger to disappointment. She fills her time by volunteering at an animal shelter and a nursing care facility for Alzheimer’s patients. She owns a sex shop, and she’s battling a serious medical issue alone. A tiny red-headed force to be reckoned with, she is fierce and a fighter. She’s smart, she’s loyal, she’s funny and she’s often sarcastic, but she’s never felt particularly beautiful and she can’t stand that she stutters when she’s nervous or excited. Her lifelong best friend, Remy, is married to an evil woman who makes a full time job out of tormenting her.“I had too many other…things to worry about to add her ass to the list.”Griffin comes into Lenore’s store to buy batteries one night, and they run into each other again later under less than ideal circumstances. No one is more surprised than she when this gorgeous man shows back up at her place a third time and things get heated. They start seeing each other, but Griffin is keeping secrets. He’s pursuing the person who murdered his son, and he’s connected the dots back to his ex-wife’s powerful state Senator husband, Justin Hayes. He also learns some surprising information about Lenore’s history when he mistakenly assumes the source of a panic attack is him and his MC.“I’m sorry I didn’t say you were beautiful. I thought staring at you with my hard cock in my hand was sufficient.”Not exactly a hearts and flowers kind of guy, Griffin has made Lenore feel beautiful and desired. She’s happier than she’s ever been before, and she’s falling hard and fast for him. Not quite ready to own up to his feelings himself, he is too. But what Griffin doesn’t realize until it’s too late is the can of worms he opened when he confronted Hayes, and unfortunately in order to protect Lenore, he’s going to have to let her go. The problem is that he just can’t seem to keep away from her. Forced together to search for a missing child, he throws in the towel and decides she’s just safer with him than without. When Griffin’s investigation catches up with him, though, will it be Lenore who pays the price?“I want nothing more than to…be with you for the rest of my life.”I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m Lani Lynn Vale’s #1 fan. I love her work, I’ve read all of it, and a lot of it I’ve read more than once. I’m thrilled with the direction she’s going in with the Uncertain Saints MC series. There is a clear and distinct difference to Vale’s writing here. Her voice is a bit edgier in Whiskey Neat, and it absolutely had me sitting up to take notice. The key elements of her work that her readers love most are there – the snarky humor, the possessive alpha male, off the charts steam and those delicious little quotes that kick off each chapter – it’s just that they’re wrapped around a tone that is evolving. This is definitely a work in progress, but Vale knows where she wants her work to go, and I have a feeling her fans are going to enjoy the heck out of the ride as she gets there.I always get excited about a new Lani Lynn Vale book, but I’ve got much more to be excited about now if the tone, style and writing of this book is anything to go by. Five smooches for Lani Lynn Vale’s Whiskey Neat from me!

GOOD
Can you believe that this book was on my kindle almost for two years? Yeah, I know. I should taken a date with it sooner. Lol.Anyway. This book was good, but there was some things, that I don't like much in my books.First of, when they first time had sex. It felt uncharacteristic for both of them. They didn't knew each other that well. I don't mind insta sex, but this was just... I think 'when' and 'how' it happened, that's bothers me.I dislike when H pushed h away because he wants to protect her. Seriously? That will protect her? I always think, if villain thinks that there is a small chance to get back at H, he will take it.Another thing... Leaving h because she deserves better or is scared she will die because of him. I want to slap H over the head, when they do this. Damn stupid martyrs.First of, there could be a man who wouldn't give a damn that h deserved better. That she deserves the world. He will be selfish pr¡ck and he will not treat her like a queen.Second, we aren't guaranteed tomorrow. Accidents, allergies, illness, being at the wrong time wrong place.... Just grab her tight and enjoy the ride. I always wanna to say this.I'm going to be crude a bit here, but when h gets angry at H about something and wants to talks about it, which is normal btw, because they being new couple, they will clash with different personalities and all, but H will show his d¡ck, so to speak lol and h forgets all about whats bothered her. Then when H does it again, she's all pissy. And honestly, I don't care much that she's unhappy at that time. Why are you angry with H? You didn't said anything the first time, how he will know its bothers you?Now I think, you are like "'I dislike this.' 'I dislike that.' Why the heck she gave 4 starts if she didn't liked it?" Because despite all that I enjoyed this book. I'm not sure exactly what it is. Lani has magic within her stories, that I find myself always going back to, even though I encounter some isn't to my liking. Which isn't the case with this book. I liked chemistry between Griffin and Lenore. I liked that she fought for her man and always was there for him. I liked that Griffin was alpha and into Lenore with his whole heart, even though he did unnecessary things believing its the best. I liked the club. Its represents a family. And I can't wait to meet other guys more personally.PS Remy... I got mixed signals from him. I could swear he felt more for Lenore then brotherly love. Because one, come on, who goes to his bestie first instead of his wife, when he goes home after a week away on job? And then when he learned about his wife, he was devastated, because he loved her. I'm confused.

Is there anything she can't do?
I have decided I want to read as much of this authors backlist as I can get my grubby little mitts on. And I wanted to see how she did MC's. And I have to say, it wasn't the worst I've read. There's the cops/military/suspense stuff I've almost come to expect where LLV is concerned and Griffin was ALPHA AF. Lenore certainly isn't no pushover mind you. But I've come to the conclusion that sinking into a LLV book is like getting a rough hug, it might sting a little, but it's really kinda nice to be held.

Not your typical MC read...
This is the first book I've ever read by Lani Lynn Vale. It wasn't the typical MC read that I was expecting - in fact it wasn't really much of an 'MC' romance at all in my opinion since the club members all seem to be in law enforcement which I found a little odd and there wasn't much 'club action' happening. It was a decent read. I liked both of the main characters as well as their individual back stories/ongoing stories which made things interesting. It was a satisfying read and was well written but I'm not sure its really drawn me in to wanting to read the rest of the series. 4 stars from me ✴✴✴✴

1st book of this series.
Found this author by having a look on Amazon and must stay I did love the first book in the series. We start with Griffin and loved his character even if he was stubborn and daft sometimes but that’s a male for you, lol. Not what I thought it would be for an MC series as these guys are cops/rangers but loved it anyway.

I loved Griffin with his dark brooding character
This book was well worth the 5 stars I only wish I could have given it more. I loved Griffin with his dark brooding character. He was out for justice and won't stop at anything to get it. Lenore is just brilliant. She is a strong and powerful woman and doesn't let anything get in her way of getting what she wants.
