Worth the Money
I agree that these are not how Bill Bell played the works, but the compositions are excellent for students leaving High School, and wanting to continue playing tuba. I also enjoy having this collection in my library for my own enjoyment.

Bill Bell Solo Collection - Own It
Excellent collection of solos from the master. If your are interested in ensuring you have the fundamentals down as a tuba player, these are the ones to learn. Now I am an aging amateur player and was delighted to find the solo my teacher (a student of William Bell) had me learn in high school for college auditions. I would have loved to have had the included piano accompaniment CD back in the late '60s, and something to play it on. This is a great book for the student musician and those of us living to recapture our Glory Days.

Bell Solo's with CD Piano Acc.
Being A Bell Student from many years ago, I found these solos in many cases to not even being close, to what Mr. Bell preferred the compositions performed, I am wondering why the Acc. did not allow time for the Cadenza's to be performed. Some of the Acc. in one solo was omitted. It is still nice to have a CD to practice, but should have done more research of how Mr. Bell played, and had his students play the compositions

Four Stars
Probably too advanced for me but will try to use.

tougher than you think
I guess it's okay, but it's not for the weekend tuba warrior. Long story short, if you can play this "intermediate" book at all, you don't need it. Go back to the philharmonic, Poindexter.

Three Stars
A bit advanced and a real stretch for the high range, at least for me.
