Improves dynamic range and should have been included in the camera
This is a must need if you care about seeing license plates. Does it remove the glare from the window? Yes, but it improves the dynamic range by reducing highlights. Normally license plates are much brighter than everything else making them "blow out" and unreadable. They are still hard to read but significantly better than before. Tip to blackvue for your next gen camera. Don't focus on better resolution focus on better dynamic range. In summary this is a must have, it's over priced for what it is in terms of material and it should be a coating that is applied to the lens the same way they do to your glasses.

big improvement even with tint
I tried another filter that was offered by the dash cam store and I found I got a lot of rainbows with it due to my windshield being tinted. Without any filter I had really bad sun and dashboard glare (F-250). I wasnt sure what to expect with this filter but it is much better than the other filter I tried previously. To get it dialed in, I pointed the truck into the sun while it was mid-morning (or late afternoon) at an angle that produced a lot of glare. I then rotated the lens while watching "live view". I was able to dial out most of the glare and do not see a rainbow. Im happy I took the chance on this filter.

Totally worthless junk
It only darkens a little bit, which is worthless, because when it’s too light then the exposure of the camera adjusts itself, Plus the quality itself is a piece of junk! it does not stay on the camera, and the glass fell out the first day I tried it

Cleans the image but at a cost!
I have the 750 LTE Plus 2 channel model and wanted this filter for the front camera. While this CPL does a decent job of removing the glare and artefacts, it also adds a circular frame to the otherwise clean image. It reduces the field of vision and also looks tacky as it does not sit snugly on the camera. I tried a few times and eventually gave up.

3d printed loop is loose over the camera, and doesn't stay in place in any vibration/hard cornering
3d printed loop is loose over the camera, and doesn't stay in place in any vibration/hard cornering, requiring tape to hold it in place, polarizing lens is ok at best, darkens recordings as expected, but is not secured well to the 3d print.

No headline
The filter (frame) that I purchased with the camera faded considerably. I noticed it when I had a windshield replaced and the glue pad didn’t hold anymore which left the camera dangling. The filter an glue pads aren’t expensive to replace with a broken windshield, and very easy to do. The filter itself did not sun fade, the holder did. The sun faded one did not break, I’m just replacing it so the camera looks new again. Inexpensive and easy to replace, so why not!

Pricy but really good
This thing is a bit pricy but it is top quality and it does its job flawlessly.

What A Difference A Little Filter Makes!
OMG ~ what a game changer! Never in my wildest imagination did I expect this little filter to make such a HUGE difference in the quality of my Blackvue DR900S Dash Cam video! The quality of the recordings with the filter compared to without it is like night and day! A must have for all Blackvue Dash Cam owners!

Works well and when sunny it’s a must
I purchased this product, and had read others stated the plastic ring breaks. Well in my case the filter fits perfect and I’ve had no issue with the ring. You just don’t man handle it, and it will work just fine. Plus make sure on fall or winter days the filter warms up, so the ring isn’t brittle from the cold temperatures. Just common sense stuff.

Piece of Junk
Very, very poorly made. Cheap/easily breakable. The adjustment ring is far too tight to adjust/twist while it’s on the DR900X-Plus camera which makes it that much harder to find the best polarizing position since you have to take it on/off/on/off…the camera while viewing the Live Image on your Tablet. It’s also hard to adjust/twist when it’s off the camera too. Certainly not worth anywhere near $40 CAD. …and., it only removes the mirror image a little bit - not very effective at all! The filter s/b built onto the camera lens and not be a cheap add on. Very disappointed in BlackVue…for such an expensive camera.

Very Fragile
The ring cracked as soon as I tried to adjust the polarity. Super glued it for now, hopefully it holds.

50/50 you get one that works
So let me start buy saying I bought two of these for two BlackVue cameras. I setup my new 750 into the work vehicle and grab 1 of 2 CPL filters. So you just pop the filter on and then twist the filter to adjust darker to lighter, and vice versa… it turned so easily with minimal effort. I then setup me new 900 BlackVue on my personal vehicle and grabbed the 2nd CPL filter. The filter wouldn’t turn to adjust. It started to turn with some elbow into it and then it snapped under maximum effort. Even then it wouldn’t turn, it was the complete opposite of the 1st one. Sooooo what can I say… if you buy one you are taking a 50/50 chance of it working or having to take a torque wrench to it if you have no arm strength. Nobody buys 2 of something to increase their odds of getting one that works. Would have been 5 stars because of the first one, but because I spend money on one that doesn’t work and broke… 2 stars. Roll the dice if you are buying one.

Broken
Very cheap, took it out of the box and attempted to put it on my Blackvue and it fell into Multiple pieces. The cheap plastic ring broke, not worth the cost.
