AlfredDB2 Smart Door Lock Deadbolt Touchscreen Keypad, Pin Code + Bluetooth, Up-to 20 Pin Codes (Black)

Seems to be working well. No issues after several months of usage.

I purchased the DB2 Bluetooth and zwave module. It is a great looking lock but trying to line up the deadbolt has to be perfect for it to work correctly and yes I had to drill a deeper hole. It worked great with out the metal strike plate, if it wasn't the install was a breeze. Next I installed the Zwave module and pairing it with my Hubitat hub was super easy. Then it went down hill from there. Download the Android app and tried to add the lock with no luck. Contacted support via web chat and walked me through some android setting and even did a factory reset but still couldn't had via Bluetooth. It was escalated to another tech via email and I tried with two other android devices without any luck. Support then stated "they need proof of purchase of the lock and your shipping address. Once I have that, I will pass it along to our team to look into a replacement.I figured I would work on setting up my codes via lock manager in Hubitat, nothing but issues with that it seem like it cant delete the codes that I put in manual.This lock is a little to expense to be having these issue. Also I wish they would add some type of door sensor so that the auto lock feature doesn't lock when the door is left open.

The media could not be loaded.  I was so excited for the lock after seeing one of my friends with the same lock feature on her closet door! We are making a closet into a safe room and selected the Alfred for its aesthetic and functionality. The installation took 2 hours not the 20 mins that they say that it does. No issues there. Programming was a little challenging but nothing horrible. However….. I tested the bolt and locking features before closing the door. Everything worked fine. I closed the door and lock the lock with the keypad. Went to unlock the door and the deadbolt WILL NOT RETRACT!!! Tried several times using the key code and the master code, I even did a program reboot but it will not unlock. We did try to pop the hinges of the door to get it off but the good news is the boat was so tight we couldn’t pull the door off. BAD NEWS WAS WE HAD TO SAWZAL THE ALFRED OFF!! And yes it’s being returned just as is. Now I have to find something with a key as a fail safe feature! I’m sure it would work just fine if it was on an exterior door but it does not work well in an interior door.

Lock itself is good. Bought because I moved to a new house and needed to change the deadbolt which this came with. This does not work with Google home like they advertise. I even wasted the $45 (at the time) buying the connect hub to get nothing but errors when I scan the QR code. So unless you pre-program codes into your lock for people they will not be able to get in because you cannot unlock from anywhere with Google Home, not sure about Alexa. They've "been in talks with Google" since I installed the lock in July and still not integrated yet. You can find cheaper locks than $250 +$30 hub with full google home functionality.

Lock mechanism isn’t as robust as one might like; adequate, but no more than that. Installation was involved—set aside at least three hours and be sure you’ve got all the equipment. Easy enough to use once installed.

Doesn’t work like it say can not just leave the phone in my pocket and use the one touch to unlock. That was the only reason I got the lock when it rains it will stop working for about a day.Update this lock is just junk bought the wireless adapter and it still needs more crap to be able to use it like the home link to make it work without being home.

This lock is junk, not at all what is shown in the description or video. Install was ok, a second hole had to be drilled into door...not shown anywhere in the instructions or videos. Once installed, it took several calls to their support to get it to work. And the Bluetooth range is short, maybe 20 feet. The app won’t connect again until you are standing right next to the lock...completely defeats the purpose. We were told that we will need to pay another $50 for the WiFi hub to get a longer range. Also another $30 on top of that to work with Alexa. For the Alfred on its own is basically a $200 key pad lock.Also the location of the speaker is on the inside and the controls are on the outside, so to program codes and stuff, you have to stand in your doorway with the door open...bad design.And the one touch feature only works on one app. You have to set it up each time you want to walk into the door without having to enter a code.Only 1 person can be in the app on the same lock. When I log in it kicks my husband off and visa versa.The support is a joke. While everyone has been friendly, you can only talk to the desk that answers the phone. They don’t know anything, and they have to ask their IT department and call you back. And if another issues arises, they have to call their It dept again and call you back. You cannot talk directly with the people that can actually help. And in between each call or email is several hours or days.We will be returning, now we need to find something that will cover this second hole we drilled

We got and installed our Alfred and we love it! Installation instructions were spot on and easy to follow. Set up was a breeze with the voice walk through. Really impressed with the quality of the hardware and over all build quality. We really like the little touches like the Alfred name on the strike plates and the slightly tapered end on the bolt. We also like the clarity of the voice on the lock. The lock works awesome and looks really nice. They've done an amazing job.

The handiness of this product is awesome. Even the additional Geo fence programming is great. However, additional pieces are required for the door lock to function with the household wifi. Also, as you purchase the add-ons, “the extender” so it can connect to your household Wi-Fi, you cannot buy one extender for multiple devices. After doing research I found out the hard way when I decided to buy a second door lock for my second door. Even the “Z Wave” technology doesn’t really help for what I needed to do. Research immensely before purchasing this and/or turning your house into an Alfred smart home. Its design is very sleek and luxurious so I can only recommend it for that. The sensors for my doors in Canada with the weather are temperamental, so take that into consideration as well.

Great looking lock. Looks amazing on my door. My house often has many people going in and out. I love being able to lock or unlock the door from my phone and not needing to use a key. Great product.

Not closing properly, going to return

I bought this as a gift for my mom. She travels a lot and I liked that this lock allows her to have friends or neighbours come by to get her mail or water plants while she’s away without having to worry about giving different people keys. I also like that she can check remotely that the door is locked and can be notified when someone goes in. It looks good and installation didn’t take very long at all.
