Unisex Sunglasses Polished Black Frame, Black Iridium Lenses, 62MM

Having gone through at least 7 pairs of Maui Jim Breakwall Sunglasses - Polarized between my wife and I We decided it was time to move on and search for a different brand. It was hard since we were used to the great look and feel they provided but have had enough of frustration from the flawed design causing a $150-$165 pair to crack after merely a few months of normal use. We found the Oakley Men's Flak Jacket XLJ Polarized Sunglasses for me and the Oakley Half Jacket 2.0 XL OO9154-06 Polarized Sunglasses for my wife . A word of caution: Where as the Flak Jacket glasses were exactly as described, there is a bit of a confusion with the Half Jacket - the photo is not accurate - it shows a round bottom versus the more straight cut of the glasses . Also the item ordered stated it was a "woman's" version, but the one received was a men's version. In our case, what we received was was exactly what we wished for based on what we found in stores prior to the purchase, however the 20% deal on Amazon was unbeatable by any of the outlets we shopped in. We think the model that arrived is the current one, but the write up on Amazon is still of the older verion. We strongly recommend checking them out in the store and making sure you get the exact model name as there are many that look almost similar, yet different in fit and properties. As for the glasses themselves - we find them very comfortable to wear, stable thanks to the rubber on the handles and the nose piece, durable (especially the Flak Jacket where hinges are internalized so they can't break), and very cool looking. An added benefit is that you can replace lenses alone if the coating is scratched, instead of being forced to buy a new costly pair as is the case with Maui Jims. Excellent product - great price and lightning fast delivery: Amazon at its best!

These are my 6th pair of Oakley's over the years and they are a great fitting pair of all around active sport sunglasses. Even though they are made of plastic they still feel solid much more than the $5 pair you get from your local grocery store. The lenses on the XL model have a little flair in them at the bottom that give you a bit more protection which make these great when playing things like sand volleyball. The iridium is not necessary and just adds a bit of flash to them. The Pros: Solid build, durable, lens coverage, lens tint, polarized lenses The Cons: A bit pricey for sunglasses if you don't take care of them Overall: If you are going to invest some money in a pair of sunglasses for running, biking, volleyball, etc. these are a great pair!

Worth every penny. When I first got them I was a little concerned due to them fitting a little tight, to point where I started getting a headache. Either I got use to them or the plastic relaxed slightly within the first day. 6 months later the fit is still great, just snug enough so that they don’t fall off, even when swimming (though I do use a safety string just in case). The Prizm P is great, I feel that there is noticeable difference between standard polarized and Prizm P.

Had Oakleys a long time ago and was always impressed with their sunglasses. Moved on to Ray Bans and Maui Jim's and they were good but not great for me. Now I am back with Oakley and say to myself why I stop using them. These are light with excellent quality and the lenses (in this case Black Iridium Polarized) are out of this world. Quality of the lenses is second to none. They are made to stay on and not move around like the others cannot do. You can use them for running, biking or just walking around. They are truly an all purpose sunglasses. I just wish they would make a VLT 10% brown lenses comparable to the Black Iridiums.

Lightweight polarized glasses with good side-to-side coverage, but they could be wider. They feel comfortable on my head and ears. Looking through them, color representation is good and distortion minimal. I only tested against the relatively weak early Fall sunlight here. If you have a wider face (I consider mine "average wide" male, but I do wear a L/XL hat), you may feel like I did, that there's a little too much gap on the sides. I prefered the Under Armour Ignitor glasses, a very similar cut and also polarized, but slightly wider lenses, slightly wider ear pieces, and notably cheaper. I went with those instead of the Oakleys. Like probably most of the people reading these reviews, I'm looking for the ideal sun-gigs, without having to spend as much (money or effort) finding them in bricks&mortar stores. Hopefully my review helped some folks. These are nice glasses, no real complaints, but they could be cheaper and wider.

I had the Oakley Half Jacket 1.0 but the lenses started to get the coating scratched off. I don't know if that's a usual wear and tear as they were 6 years old... but admittedly I didn't give them too much care. I'm not the most athletic person, but I did use them for golfing all the time. These are awesome on the course. The polarization really cuts the glare and the XLJ/XL of these lenses frame your eyes so look left, right, up and down... the sunlight is always blocked. These aren't cheap by any means but they can take a beating and last quite a while. For these 2.0's I got myself I'm going to take better care of them (getting a hard case instead of the stupid fabric baggie they give you). I'm sure these will last even longer than 6 years.

Very nice, fit well, look sharp, and they ARE Oakley's, not something fake. I've worn Oakley's for 15 years, these are the real deal. I'd have given 5's across the board except for the fact these came in a soft bag, not a harder case. I have a case from previous Oakley purchases though, so no biggy.

Nachdem ich meinen langjährigen Begleiter, Oakley M Frame leid war, musste einfach etwas Neues aus dem Hause Oakley her. So versuchte ich mich an einigen Modellen, musste aber vorläufig resignieren, da die meisten Sportbrillen aus dem Hause Oakley nicht für den schmalen Kopf gemacht sind. Um so glücklicher war ich, als ich die Half Jacket anprobiert habe. Endlich eine Oakley, welche auch bei schmaleren Köpfen fest da bleibt, wo sie soll. Kein Rutschen, kein Wackeln und gut aussehen tut sie auch noch. Die Gläser sind natürlich wie gewohnt qualitativ hochwertig- eine Wohltat für die Augen, wenngleich die Gläser Black Iridium bei geringer Sonne doch schnell zu dunkel werden können. Für sehr helle Sonnentage aber einfach spitze. Da ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Sitz der Brille bin, habe ich sie mir jetzt nochmal mit photochromic-Gläsern bestellt. Dazu kann ich aber noch nix sagen. Später mehr. Ob ich die Brille nochmal kaufen würde? Ja, jederzeit!!!!
