& EcoChoice Replacement Door Rope Gasket 3/4 (832-1680)

Redid my door seal. Fits in the channel perfectly.

This was the third and final piece to restore our Quadra fire woodstove. Easy and great quality

When I handled the rope I got black on my hands. The rope was not in a package as shown. They claimed that it was new but why would black come off on my hands if it was new. Not a good value for the price. Definitely not satisfied.

This rope worked great. My stove was letting air in along one side so I couldn't control the air well enough and there was soot along the window where it was coming in. I ordered this replacement rope and had my fireplace guy install it. They just pulled out the old one, scraped out the old silicone, reapplied new high heat silicone and pressed the rope into the groove. They cut off the extra tail as it was a lot longer than needed. We closed the stove door and they told me to let it sit like that for 24 hours. It was a bit tight the first few days, but quickly loosened up enough to keep it snug, but not hard to close.

Original quadrafire lasted over 10 yrs. This gasket which is supposed to be 3/4 seemed a lot thinner and I don't believe is orig quadrafire brand. It compressed and stay compressed and leaks. Did not last winter and will replace this spring from another seller. Little hard to return since its used. Buyer beware

The gasket is not the same as the gasket I took off my stove door. Very disappointed

There are a lot of smaller ropes that don't fit right. This one does. Note: it may take a while for it to squash down enough to make the door easy to close. The alternative that I bought last time was just perfect for about six months, and then began to leak.
