Great environmentally friendly alternative
We used to use the Johnson & Johnson cotton buds because they had a stiff plastic rod unlike own-brand versions from supermarkets/chemists which would bend too easily. These are a perfect, more sustainable alternative, they offer the same sturdiness and end up cheaper. Would highly recommend

Despite some of the other reviews, they seem very sturdy to me. Beautfully packed in very sturdy slide-out cardboard box which will be used for something else when done ! I haven't come across splinters or any buds falling off - though I have known some well-known makes to do that ! I have to wonder what they're being used for to make them break - they are delicate as are all cotton buds !! I use them for artwork and quite sturdy. I would definitely buy these again, but they will last a long time. If there are teething problems with some eco-friendly products, perhaps patience is called for. Some people are trying different things - and the big companies could have been investigating other ways of making products that won't kill off the planet but didn't bother until they saw that customers buying eco-friendly stuff - then they wanted in on the act.

These plastic free ear buds are great! They dont bend like plastic ones do. They are comfortable to use. I've given a box each to my family and they all love them too! The best thing is they are sustainable and help to care for our planet. I will definitely be buying these again x:)

Do your bit to reduce landfill
Found these after a bit of searching and was pleasantly surprised with what arrived. 1,000 coin buds will last me... a long time. They don't come in just one huge box though. There are separate, smaller boxes which contain [quick check] 200 sticks. In terms of the dimensions and quality of the business ends of these things, they're spot on. No fear of something tiny or horribly abrasive. I've already recommend these to several friends and once I've finally exhausted this supply I'll happily restock. No idea why the big brands or supermarkets aren't doing these yet. Good luck to them, but they won't be getting more of my money and contributing to more landing.
