Genuine Part 1083980 3" Toilet Canister Flush Valve Kit

Easy to replace the flush canister. In our application did not need to remove tank. Just twist off existing internal tower (within old canister) and insert new canister. Kept the original valve in place. Took only 5 minutes to do the replacement. Working great!

My Kohler is a K4634 and after 20 years of faithful service I replaced all the parts. The steel plate, seals and the Kohler canister upgrade and new water fill valve. Everything was easy to replace..the original flapper set up not so much. I couldn't get the big plastic nut on the bottom of the tank to move so I took it apart in pieces on the work bench with a screwdriver/chisel and hammer. Don't try it in the bathroom. After adjusting the fill valve and a test flush I was back in business with a quieter, upgraded toilet. Problem was inconsistent flushes. Fluids poor to ok flush, solids very disappointing. Weak water pressure and loud bubbling noises. Sometimes two flushes were required. Now think fluid dynamics, the fix is easy. If you take a full gallon jug, turn it upside down to empty it you get an air lock. Same thing happening in the tank. The fix; 3 inches of duct tape, cut in half length wise. Put two layers of tape on the top of left or right side of the tank under the cover. No more air lock and a power flush every time.

I wish they sold a kit that was just the tower and center piece. To install the whole kit, you would have to remove the tank. My seal was fine and I only needed two parts. Really easy and worked well. Wasted a bunch of parts I didn't need.

Just another "Wear and Tear" issue. I have no choice and must replace it with genuine parts for my water tank. Hopefully, this time can be last longer lol ;-) RH

Easy swap out, need 1/2in wrench or deep socket for the two bolts that hold the tank and I used oil filter wrench for the 6in retainer no leaks and fit just like OEM

I had a leaky toilet due to the old canister. I ordered this and it arrived within the timeframe expected. It took about 20 minutes to install and works perfectly!

Unit was exact as req'd and ordered. However, main gasket seal was missing. Had to order seperately. It arrived, fit perfectly. Now I have 2 spares...anyone need one?

I had a running toilet for years! Literally years because I could not figure out what was wrong with it. Replacing this part involved 2 men and full deinstalling and reinstalling of the toilet and a considerable amount of frustration on the part of said men but now that it is done the toilet works perfectly. It saved me from having to hire a plumber. I wouldn’t say it’s an easy fix but the price is right if you are willing to do the job yourself and suffer the aggravation of taking the entire toilet apart.
