I had ordered a different, highly-rated cane previously which was close to 16 ounces and I thought the weight would be no problem as I'm a man in my mid-50s. After walking around the house with it for 10 min or so straight, my hand became really sore. My hand was sore for days afterwards. So I thought I'd give the Vive a try, as it is only 8 ounces. So glad I did! I've had this cane for almost 4 months and have had zero problems with it. It is sturdy and attractive. It folds for easy storage when I traveled. I've used it for extended periods of time and my hand has never been sore due to it's light weight and ergonomic design. I use it for balance issues and ataxia associated with a medical condition I have. I highly recommend this cane!

Nice appearance. Came in a variety of colors which was good. Like that it is foldable so I can take along on my trip and put in suitcae. Adjustable for height and ergonomically correctr handle. Even came with cloth bag to store in.

I never thought I would be in my early 40s and so easily excited about getting a new cane, but here we are. At the risk of oversharing, here's a bit of backstory. Some years ago I had two hernias and another four or five cancer-related surgeries more or less right on top of each other, and over a relatively short period of time. Unfortunately this repeated trauma resulted in very severe nerve damage and the pain only continues to worsen over time. I seriously cannot overexaggerate how much worse I hurt now than when I actually was tearing open, originating in my groin and often shooting down through my leg, into my foot, or up into my abdomen. Adjusting to a new normal has been very difficult, and you never realize how much you take for granted normal, everyday activities like walking, driving, sleeping, sitting at a desk, or even going to the bathroom until you need to ask for help doing so. Don't even get me started on the merry-go-round of medications I've tried.But enough of my sob story. The point is that once I put my humility aside, a cane has proven very useful in getting around, and after some trial and error I have come to really love these ones by Vive. First, lets talk about all the cute colors and patterns available. If I have to walk around feeling like garbage I might as well look good doing it, right? I was first taken in by the snazzy leopard print, then ordered a plain purple, and very recently bought the slick grey poly. The price point is very fair and multiple canes come in handy for work, an extra in the car, or keeping in strategic places around the house. They are very easy to put together, and easy to take apart again if needed. The rubber tip has good grip and I personally really prefer the flat handled top, as opposed to a curve, which is not only more comfortable but feels sturdier in my hand when I put weight on it. I also appreciate the string on the handle which you can put around your wrist if you need to free up your hand for a moment. If I had to make one very, very small criticism I might suggest adding one more hole to make it just a smidge taller for very tall people like myself. But even so it's very comfortable all around.So, again, if you have any hesitation at all I cannot recommend these Vive canes enough. It doesn't solve all my health problems, of course, but it's brought me some great comfort as far as really basic getting round. Plus I get a LOT of compliments on them, which feels good as well and makes me feel a little less conscientious about the whole thing.

I tried 12 different canes in search of the perfect one. My standards were: 1) sturdy, 2) comfortable handle, 3) height (I am 5'10" and occasionally wear heels), and 4) foldable. This one won out in every category except for height. It was very sturdy, held weight very well, and the handle was perfect - soft T-shaped grip, not sticky like some rubbery handles but padded enough to lean on without hurting my hands. It was easily adjustable and folded well.Unfortunately, the height was a dealbreaker. It could adjust up to my height when not wearing shoes, but that was on the very highest setting. Heels were definitely out. The listing indicates that it's suitable for people up to 6'6", but IMO it won't work for anyone over 5'10" or 5'11 if they have good posture (which you always should when using a cane, otherwise you'll get injured). If they made this cane even an inch taller I would have kept it :( For the record, the cane I ended up with was the Honeybull, which says it is the same extended length as the Vive but actually goes one hole higher. It is otherwise very similar, so if you are on the tall side I'd suggest that one.

Very stable design, compact storage and very solid interlock sections. Precision adjustments for height with good grip and footing. Also nice pattern on the shaft. Very easy to use and comfortable to walk with.

Great canes. I bought these for my 90 year old Mom. Very sturdy, handle & tip rubberized - very comfortable handle - with a wrist strap for good measure. Tip does NOT slip. Folds easily and is very strong when extended.First, I ordered the butterfly one. Beautiful - she loves it. Then I ordered the Teal one, which looked more turquoise. I just ordered the Blue one and guess what? Apparently I never did receive the Teal one - Amazon fulfilled Blue instead, so now we have 2 blue ones. I purposely was ordering different colors for different locations to keep them - car, bedroom, front door... Disappointed in not getting the color I ordered 2nd time around, but the canes themselves are the best I've seen. I highly recommend them!

This is a great little cane! I bought it for trips to our local amusement park & it's been fantastic. Other than setting off the metal detectors, I couldn't be happier. It quickly & easily folds down to store in my backpack & is easy to unfold when I need to use it. The height adjusts easily. The grip is comfortable. The fun colors are great (I chose teal & used some cute stickers to personalize it). Having never used a cane before, I'm so happy that this 1 was my 1st experience because it was so positive.
