Why I Bought Them: I needed a reliable pack of ankle socks for daily gym use and running. I specifically chose these because of the "Cushion" label and the trusted Nike brand for sportswear comfort. The Good (The Pros): Excellent Cushioning: Right out of the package, the cushioning underfoot is fantastic. They feel thick and supportive, which is great for high-impact activities like running or jumping. My feet felt protected during long workouts. Good Fit (Initially): The ankle height is perfect—not too high, not too low—and the elastic around the arch provides nice compression and prevents the sock from slipping down into my shoe (no bunching!). Breathable: Despite the cushioning, my feet didn't feel overly hot or sweaty during a long gym session. The Compromise (The Cons): Durability Issues (Thinning Quickly): This is the main reason for the 3-star rating. After only about two months of rotation (and standard washing/drying), I noticed the material on the balls and heels starting to thin out significantly. I have a feeling I’ll see holes forming within the next couple of months, which is disappointing for Nike socks. Sizing Confusion: I wear a size 9.5 (US) shoe, and the size recommended felt almost too snug, especially after the first wash. If you are on the upper end of the stated size range, you might want to consider sizing up if possible. Price vs. Lifespan: For a pack of 3 at this price point, I expect a lifespan of at least 6 months to a year, not just a few months. Final Verdict: These are comfortable and supportive socks that feel great during a workout. However, the quality of the material seems to have declined from previous years' Nike socks, meaning they wear out much faster than they should. Buy them if you prioritize initial comfort, but be prepared to replace them sooner than you'd like. They are okay, but not great value for money.
