Nakham McFarlane Monsters Series 1 Action Figure Frankenstein

This figure looks awesome I collect many McFarlane figuers but this one is just fantasic I now have The Mummy, WereWolf, Sea Creature and now Frankenstien best part about this figure is the amount of detail for sure he has chains attached to his shoulder's all away down to the top of the boots making you feel like this dude is serious business and now his out doing what he pleases also he as Dr. Victor Frankenstin strap on frankenstein's back in the most brutal way basically dr.victor is in this torture device that looks like a cage and his remaining skeleton is inside with little gory matter keeping him company aswell as Igors skull on frankenstiens left shoulder, But i'm not done just yet he also wheres a collection of faces stitched up on his left shoulder aswell. Pretty gory figure I would'nt want to give this kid in a long run cause this figure is disturbing as heck but and will give nightmares but for horror collectors its a gold mind, now for collectors there are two variants 1st one is clean and second one bloody dont worry no matter what variants you get you still get skinless Dr. Frankenstein its basically the paint job that you will notice this figure litterly tells you a new story of Frankenstien lisen if you into horror get this cause I promise you wont be disappointed.Articulation: both hands turns 360, legs shifts left and right, head is very limited cause of the device thats attatched to Frankenstiens back.Articualtion score: 4 out of 10paint job: 10 out of 10overall score 10 out of 10

I have started a new found fandom with dark action figures and this was the perfect 1st addition to, what I hope to be, an expanding collection. The product came as specified but had a little more wear on the box than I had expected. The detail of the figure is incredible and, for a 10+ year old piece it is in great condition (original packaging).

He doesn't like to stand up very easily and his paint isn't quite as sharp as other versions I've seen, but these are minor complaints for a great figure. The Frankenstein story is integral thematically to some of the stories I write so having a figure like this is a source of inspiration. There was an odd issue that for several days after opening the shell casing the figure released a nauseating smell, like turpentine, especially from the rubbery corpse in the cage on its back. This however went away and now he's got pride of place on my shelf and looks very impressive.

I enjoy this collectible figure. It's also a symbol of a memory back in Mountain Ridge high school when I first read and discussed Mary Shelly's novel "Frankentein". It's got a horrifying, twisted, mcfarlane-style look, including blood stains, and a bladed weapon. I added to a glass cabinent at home for the fun of it like other collectors do as a new hobby of mine. I tested the toy by performing my own "It's alive" scene using my Dragon Ball Z figures, Vegeta and Goku, as the mad doctor and his igor assistant as a Halloween tradition. The Frankenstein figure has articulation in the head, the arms, the torso, and the leg.

Very well done figure that is a very unique take on the Frankenstein character. Great as a collector piece. Probably a little too detailed for kids.
