Great for the Price.
I have done many forms (tap, jazz, various forms of hip hop, brreak dancing, belly dancing, ballet, etc, etc) of dance for the last 18yrs, and often times I have dance in jeans, shorts, capri slacks, exercise pants, even skirts. This is my first pair of actual dance pants, I bought them because I wanted to see if there was a difference, and since I was on a budget, these are what I got. I do understand, you get what you pay for, and given the price of these compared to other pants, they actually well worth the cost, they get 4stars for the cost and quality based on that cost. The size is actually very accurate to the size chart. Do not go based off of "small, medium, large", actually look off the size chart, take your measurements, and then order them. If you follow that, the pants will fit you or whomever they are ordered for. This is true with ordered any piece of clothing online. Just a note, they are not meant to be worn on or below the hips, but just above. Being 5'2, I will have to hem these, but that is pretty normal if you are below 5;4, unless something comes in petite, and these do not, you will have to hem them if you want them to be the right length You can see in the picture where I am wearing them, they are long. I will have to take about 2 inches off. I danced in them for an audition a few days ago, but I had to tuck them in to my jazz shoes, but they were very comfortable for the most part, to dance in.Off the bat, after putting these on and wearing them while dancing, I only noticed one real flaw, and I think someone else mentioned possible camel toe. This is because of the fact that they are meant to be close to skin-tight, as well as the fact that as you will see in the second picture I posted with this review, they have a seam straight down the middle of the crotch, the crotch should be "gussed" for optimal flexibility. A non-gussed crotch seam is not a good thing for dancing (and why most exercise pants are gussed as well) is because you are moving so much they will ride up, that is a guarantee with the seam down the middle. Wearing some dance tights or just thick micro fiber tights if you have them, underneath will most remedy this, and it is likely you will be wearing them with your pants anyway if you dance a lot. The forth picture, which is a picture of the crotch of my micro fiber tights show what the crotch on these pants should look like, for ideal flexibility.Given the seam is in the middle of the crotch, I can see these over the long haul becoming split down the seam, even though the material is stretchy, thread is not, which will, over time, create stress on the thread and cause it to break. This, for the most part, will not be a problem, unless you are dancing multiple times a weak for hours at a time, and if that is the case, I recommend purchasing a pair of dance pants that have a "gussed" crotch. The material is nice, they are 15% nylon, so yes, they are shiny, they are not cotton. If you want non-shiny ones, buy a cotton/spandex mix, those ones will also wick more moisture than these ones will during dancing, if that is what you're looking for. Overall, the stitching seams to be well done, and as already stated, outside of the seam down the middle, these pants should not have a problem with any of the stitches coming loose. When I first put them on it sounded like the seam on the waist may have ripped, but they were fine. I also have 40inch hips, so I am right on the cusp of medium and large size, so if they did rip, that probably would have more been my fault anyway.I have no complaints about these other than the seam for the crotch, They are well-made, and while they smell funny out of the box, a couple washes fixes that. :) Expect the material to bleed when washed the first few times, so I'd only wash them with black or by themselves the first few times.God Bless ~Amy

Adult V front jazz pants
Okay so let me start by saying when you order pants on the web, you really dont know what you will get. So these pants were very, very nice I must say. If you are like me and are kind of lazy and dont want to keep unzipping and zipping pants up, this is a better option because these pants just glided on so, nicely. I love the fit and it actually made me look more shapely. Now, I'm not saying that there is any squeeze to them to make that effect. All Im trying to say is these pants gave me the hint of look that I was after. So depending on what you are looking for whether its ease of wear or comfort, than its a go. Just make sure you are honest with yourself when it comes to the size, so look at the size chart and if you are not sure, than measure yourself with a cloth measuring tape, do this and you will be happy.

good product, bad amazon
perfect jazz pants for my daughter, they are shiney which she didn't care for but thats just personal preference. Amazon sadly has a very poor customer service practices. I ordered something for someone and then months later amazon charged something to their credit card without any authorization using my name and billing information, when i called to have the charge credited, they did credit it but cancelled my prime membership telling me that they have no way of reinstating the month that was left on it, plain out ignorant and unacceptable especially with good customers who spend a lot of money on a daily basis

These are the only pants I can wear to sleep ...
These are the only pants I can wear to sleep in when it is cold. I am a former dancer so I can say they do fit as expected from that respect, but that is not why I purchase them. I only gave 4 stars because after several washes the material tends to "pill" but please note, this was after a year of wearing and washing them more than probably the average dancer would.

the material was soft and nice.
Fit as expected, ordered a medium for my daughter should've went up a size because they fit tight. She wears a medium, but again they were too tight. So I suggest you go up a size.Overall, the material was soft and nice.

Runs a bit small but very comfortable. One leg is about an inch longer than the other but luckily I had to shorten it. Wish they have shorter inseams.

Size up
The sound of stitches popping and threads breaking as I pulled them on makes me think they won't last long without needing repair. But they are super soft. Still think I would have gone a size up though because of how much they show in the crotch area.
