I love this series, but I'm so sad!!! I lost my old Picasso one, so I bought a new one and the mail person crammed it in the mailbox! Don't look at the photos unless you want to be sad, too. I'm not going to take away stars for something that isn't the seller's fault. But for those of you (like me) who haven't bought small, thin books off Amazon before, you should be aware that there's really no way for you or the seller to communicate that this should be left on the porch rather than in the mailbox. These books are fantastic, especially with the timeline and map of important events in their lives. There is some nudity (hard-pressed to find a decent samplings of Picassos that don't involve nudity) and Guernica is featured. But I've had this in my 3rd through 5th grade classrooms without any issues from parents so far.

I used it to show a different style of art to a child

I love this book! My six year old loves at and I was looking for something to work into our schooling. This is just perfect for that and I cannot wait to go through it with her. I cannot wait to get more of these books about other artists.

Great read for kids that simplifies and animates Pablo Picasso’s life!

These are my all time favorite books & videos to use with my students. Mike Venezia is an amazing & witty artist. Funny but informative biographies that kids can relate too. Great resource to supplement lesson plans. Will keep their attention for sure. I hope to continue seeing more artists addded to the collection.

I have bought these books for my classroom. I teach Pre-K. The three of the books are higher than Pre-Kindergarten level but I think if you want to introduce an artist and his art; you can modify your lesson while using these books.

We bought a couple of these for our 8-year-old nephew who has an interest in art for his birthday on a recommendation from a friend. His mom said he loved them & continues to read them.

fun book, my kids love this series

I absolutely loved this book. I bought it to try and educate my 6 nearly 7 year old on the world of art and I thought maybe I would learn something too. I have to say I am pretty uncultured but took my son to the Tate Modern recently and didn't have a clue what was going on so thought I needed to learn more. The book is written in large font with easier words for a 6-7 year to read if you would like as most of the words are fairly straight forward. The thing I love about the book is there are lots of photos of Picassos work in the book and the book asks questions that make you think about each piece. I can't recommend it highly enough. The book itself is pretty short and a little flimsy but thats fine with me as I felt I learnt a lot and my son really did too.
