Well, if you already have a Makita 18V battery then chances are you are either a very keen DIY fan or a professional such as a builder or electrician which, my son is whom I gave this to. It goes without saying that if you are going to use this then you probably have more than one battery given that one at least will be in the drill...Anyway, bottom line is that this turns your Makita 18V battery in to a decently bright work light idea for when you have done a bit of DIY, drilled through the mains and blacked the house out....Or in a more controlled way, have planned a job and need a a bit of illumination because the power is off - something my son clearly experiences a lot given his job.He already has a few work lights but couldn't bring himself to shell out the eye watering amount for a proper Makita LED lamp so this was a pleasant bonus.It fits the battery perfectly and is stable and adjustable to suit what you are inspecting or working on .It's bright but not like an anti-aircraft light which some are. It's fine for a decent spread and with a fairly directed beam.Longevity does depend upon the battery Ahr in use but with the larger Makita ones my son has never ran one out so far even when on for hours.Price when I checked was fair being similar to many other of these brand marketed items and a massive amount cheaper than Makita OEM stuff.Overall a decent option if you have some Makita 18V gear around.

Fits perfectly on the Makita battery, and is really bright. A fantastic and convenient idea.
