Tried high and low speed fans, both are great.
I purchased two 120mm fans from AC Infinity, one high speed and one low speed. The short story is that both fans are awesome quality. The high speed fan is a little too noisy for a living room entertainment center but makes some impressive airflow. The low speed fan is quiet enough to use in the living room, 6 feet away, and not make a noticeable amount of noise while still moving plenty of air. If you are looking for a fan, buy one of these. I built two stereo cabinets with intake filters and used these fans as exhaust fans. Since I had two cabinets, one for the shop and one for the house, I bought both the high speed and low speed fans figuring I would put the high speed in the garage if it was too noisy for the living room. Both fans are very high quality, sturdy aluminum surrounds. The high speed fan is about twice as thick as the low speed fan but otherwise they are identical. All the hardware necessary to mount them was included and mounting screws were long enough to mount through 3/4 inch thick plywood without problem. The high speed fan did turn out to be more noisy than I wanted for the living room so it ended up in the shop. The primary purpose of the cabinet in the shop was to protect the stereo from metal dust and other nasty garbage, but I have no doubt that a single 120mm high speed fan will circulate more than enough air to cool any electrical component or series of components you could assemble. I am using a standard 16 x 20 inch ventilation duct filter from the hardware store and the fan generates enough force to hold the cabinet door (20 x 24) shut with a clean filter. Even now that the filter is getting clogged with sawdust and grinder dust the fan is still moving air. The only downside is the noise. For comparison, if you have heard a PS4 switch from normal cooling to high speed cooling, that is about how loud this fan is. The low speed fan is perfect for my stereo cabinet in the house. It is quiet enough that you forget it's on as soon as you turn on the radio or TV and sit down on the couch six or so feet away. I have a receiver and a PS4 in the cabinet and the cabinet temperature has not risen above ambient enough that I can tell by feel, even after hours of movies or video games. This is in a small footprint cabinet with no room inside for internal circulation, so the PS4 gets hot very quickly without the fan on. I know the fan is doing all the work cooling and getting it done nicely. I have little doubt these fan will last for years based on the quality and they are definitely worth the price.

Excellent for larger humidor.
Perfect for use in my 6’x2’ locker cigar humidor. Very quiet and moves air nicely. Would most definitely buy again.

Coolfan performance review
I purchased the coolfan initially on its own to cool 300b tubes in a highend audio amplifier. I was told by my manufacturer that if I could get recirculating air to the tubes there was a potential of doubling the life of the tubes since heat destroys most everything. When I got the fan I was very impressed with the quality of build for its 4 inch size and the 56cfm rated output. The case of this fan is aluminum and it has some weight for its 4 inch square size. When I initially plugged it in and saw how powerful it was I was impressed with the high air flow but I knew that the noise level was not going to work in my application because I needed dead quiet for listening to music. Jimmie fixed this problem by sending me a powercord (also sold on Amazon) that contains a variable voltage control to the fan thus you can adjust the speed for any intended application. I therefore adjusted the speed to almost as slow as it would go and the noise level dropped 10 fold while still circulating enough air to make the fan perfect for my intended use. If you do this you will only hear a faint whisper from 3 feet away and from where I listen (12 feet) you cannot detect any noise yet it is circulating air out to 3-4 feet. Therefore I would highly suggest purchasing the fan with the variable speed power cord....it really makes the fan much more versatile. For those of you that have found bargains that really work this should be added to your list. For those of you that want a quality fan for cooling internal space of a home theater enclosed rack, hi-end tube power amplifier, computer case and many other devices this one should be at the top of your list. I might also add that Jimmie at AC FAN was a joy to work with and his service was outstanding. Highly Recommended.

Works well and is somewhat loud.
Installed in the back of my entertainment center to keep various electronics cool with the door closed. Some items to note: The holes in the fan body are small - #6 machine screws are the only thing that fits and they will need to be at least 2 1/2" long to hold the grill and fan to a thin wall. The cord plugs on to two metal tabs on the side of the fan and can pull off very easily. Use a wire tie to secure it to the nearest bolt so it won't come free when tugged. This fan is slightly louder than a laptop fan in "high" mode when it steps up due to computer running hot. It was quieter when first installed and got louder after a day of running. It is not very noticable when the tv is on. When everything else is off it can be heard across the living room. Think of a vcr rewinding a tape (if you are old enough for that). It does move a good bit of air. I cut a hole in the back of my cabinet and the fan blows to the front. You can feel air coming out around the door gaps when it is closed. I used to have to keep the door partially open to keep receiver from shutting down due to temp if the Xbox was used. Now everything is cool to the touch even after everything running for a couple of hours. I might put a "filter" on the outside of the fan to keep dust down inside the cabinet and also kill some of the noise. I would buy this again.

High Quality
I’ve always wanted to be able to close the cabinet doors while using my receiver. This fan allows me to exhaust the heat and bring in cooler air allowing my equipment to run cooler. I chose the quiet model and I can’t hear it with the doors closed. It came with an AC plug which I have connected to the switched outlet on the receiver. The installation steps were straight forward and would have been easier if I had been able to move the 200 pound tall cabinet that I installed it in. The fan case is metal as are the wire screens. Using the screen as a drilling template required no measuring. They recommend a hole size to match the fan case. That is 4.75” for the 4” fan. I was not going to buy a $30 hole saw for this one project so I made the hole 4” (the diameter of the blades) Packaging was excellent and I bought two so I have one for the next cabinet I build.

Saving my computer
This fan produces a good flow of air. After some discussion, we decided to attach this one just above the CPU, on the top of the case. We experimented with it facing in or out, and the best for us is OUT. We also have the side off the case, as we just can't seem to get enough airflow otherwise. We are considering water cooling for next rig, but can't afford it yet. If I put your hand over it, I can feel the heat, so I know it's working. Also, it plugs straight in to the surge protector, so it stays "on" even after the computer (with all the other fans) is turned off. You prolly know this, but CPU's and their heat-dispersing parts can warp if overheated. This leads to more overheating and the potential destruction of the CPU. This fan is an inexpensive yet effective solution to that ever-present issue. I especially love that it continues to dispel heat after the computer is switched off. Well worth the money! I only wish I'd bought it sooner. BTW, this fan is just loud enough to hear it running when the computer is off. It is under the desk, and when the computer is running too, the fan is too quiet to hear over the other six fans that are part of the whole rig (CPU, video card, and 4 in the case). When we first got it, I kept reaching under to feel the airflow to make sure it was still on! 🤔😃 We went from the computer shutting down several times a day from overheating, to it happening maybe once a month. The computer gets heavy usage from online school, graphics-heavy video games, photo and video editing and more for 12 hours + a day. Having to let it cool off so it would restart was a serious inconvenience.

Our vintage camper had an issue with the refrigerator heating the area surrounding it
New campers have vents in the roof to allow air to come it at the bottom and leave at the top. Natural ventilation. Vintage camper usually have a door vent at the lower end of the refrigerator and a top vented door to attempt a natural circulation. This works some what but not efficiently. Added one of this fans to the inside of the upper door - work good. Added another fan and it is so much cooler around the refrigerator. Very very quiet Great value The size was perfect for what I needed. It would be nice if they could be thermostatly controlled as I now need to plug and unplug them. Bought two so that is a good recommendation from me. Comes with all the hardware to install (a bonus).

My father stressed to me how important it was to keep the electronics in a sound system as cool as possible and how damaging high heat could be
The AC infinity AXIAL fan, traditionally called the Muffin Fan, is a superb product. As a child in the 1950's I can still recall my father, an electronic wizard, building our first hi-fi mono system which included from day one one or two Muffin fans. I now own 5 of these fans, 4 in operation and one back-up fan in case of an emergency. My father stressed to me how important it was to keep the electronics in a sound system as cool as possible and how damaging high heat could be. I currently own 4 of Richard Brown's BEL 1001 amps, Three are in use in my self-made, ridiculously complex 4-speaker stereo system. As Richard sadly died at a young age, replacement is impossible. I have to use a tall rack by Salamander to accommodate all this gear. Two of the BELs are a bit cramped, one is very closed in. A bad situation. I placed one Muffin fan behind the heat sinks of the 2 BELs that are a bit cramped, and 2 Muffin fans (!!) behind the heat sink of the very cramped BEL. The Result:`After running for 3+ hours, all the heat sinks are barely warm to the touch. Hard to believe but true. The Muffin Fans, maybe 1 inch behind the heat sinks, blow all the heat out into my listening room, warming the entire room quite nicely in winter. And they are quiet enough that they are INAUDIBLE when music is playing. A big problem resolved by 4 tiny fans built to last. If I have made a mistake here and if I am still putting the BEL's in a bad situation, please reply and let me know.

Indoor Greenhouse House Friendly
Short story: I was looking for a quiet fan for my FABRIKOR Greenhouse cabinet. I finally decided to get this and I can’t complain. It pretty quiet. I had to buy a speed controller separately. I’m sure this seller has options so you can buy the Dan and the controller together. Anyway, thjs works great. Long story: By mistake, I bought this bigger size when I should have bought the small size for my greenhouse. I bought two different kinds of fans (different sellers). The other two were either too noisy or too big. Overall, they were not suitable for my cabinet. Most importantly, they would lower the temperature in the cabinet below 60° C and lower the humidity level below 55%. So, I didn’t search or buy another fan for 6-7 months until I found this option. The cabinet started to smell a little musty, so I definitely needed something. I am honestly impressed with this product. To me, it’s quiet enough. I’m a light sleeper, I kept this on a lower setting (I bought a speed controller separately) and I barely heard it. I highly recommend this if you need a fan for your cabinet. Side note: the mount you see in the photo is not included. I bought it on Etsy - CADJungle.

Solid construction
I bought two of the low-speed fans to help vent a closet that was getting musty. I put them on a timer switch and I was impressed by the quietness of the fans and also the heavy aluminum construction of the casings on the fans. It is certainly a pleasure to see that there are manufactures who can produce good quality products. Hopefully the bearings will last as advertised because I very much like the construction.
