It is my friend’s fault that I got obsessed with this vacuum. I went to visit her and she got one, an expensive one. We couldn’t afford to get that so we looked for something cheaper. I have to say, I’m happy that we bought this one. It is pretty well made. When we got the package everything was neat and well packed. Nothing was damaged. The battery came pre-charged so as soon as we opened the box and took it out we started using it. It is a powerful little machine, cleans our hard floor without any trouble. The sensors are amazing. The funny thing is that I bought it to have more time for me and I find myself watching the vacuum coming and going. Plus my little one loves to follow it around. I’m not an expert using it, I read the manual if there is something I don’t understand. The machine itself returns to the base to recharge once its battery is running low. That’s super cool. I can control it from the cellphone, that is another thing that I love about it. The only thing I need to worry about is to remeber to empty the container. I do that once a day to avoid the trash getting stuck. It is pretty quiet and mops well. I didn’t know this little thing could be so efficient and cleaning the floor will be so effortless. My back hurts so much everytime I try to mop the floor, that’s why this vacuum is a life saver for me. I’m really happy my friend put this idea in my head of getting a vacuum like this. This is a life changing product.

I am super impressed! I figured it would do a so so job at best. However, it went through the house in kind of an odd pattern but it got into places that have not seen a vacuum in years! It pushed a good size mouse (cat toy) out from under one of the sofas that has been missing for many months. And when I cleaned out the dust bin, I found that it had actually vacuumed up another cat toy that had been missing for a long time. My wife has had back surgery and can't clean like she used to and I just don't have the knack for sweeping the floors and vacuuming the way she likes, but this little guy (my wife and daughter already named it Wally) has, in two days of use, made these floors so much better than I have seen them in a long long time. The only problem is if there is anything in the way, like socks or computer cords like I have running from under one sofa to an end table, Wally finds a way to get tangled into it. The other thing is throw rugs. Just to test it out I left the throw rugs down. I was impressed with how it handled them although it did sometimes roll the edges up causing further problems. All in all though, it did a good job on the kitchen throw rug even to the point that I can't get it to by taking it out and shaking it out. I have not had the opportunity to use the mop attachment yet but although I started out as a skeptic, I would recommend the LaFont Robot vacuum to anyone! -John A

I could provide a video of my Lefant robot mop, but all it would show is my mop sitting in one place and going in circles, then trying to reverse, turn, or move, and just making a grinding noise while it attempts to maneuver and is unable to move. When I first got this item I was blown away. It worked so well. After a month, it started slowing down and getting easily stuck. Then it could not move after about 10 minutes each time I started it. I called tech-support: cleaned it, reset it, did all the things. And it immediately started back with the malfunctions and now that I’ve had it for three months is completely nonfunctional. It will work for 10 seconds and then sit making a grinding sound As it tries to move, fails, and then stops altogether and gives an annoying beep series over and over. Amazon tech-support the second time around gave me the email address for the company’s customer service. This item has a one-year warranty and I’ve had it for three months. Thanks for nothing, Amazon. I’m sure I’ll have zero luck getting any type of response from this company.

I had an issue with the first model I bought (a different one than this one). I reached out to the company (in China so it took them a day to get back to me) They bent over backwards to help me with the return and by recommending this other model. I was very happy with their support. The machine is very quiet and, though I do have to do some extra regular vacuuming now and then, I am glad I bought this machine.

The one we received worked OK when vacuuming for the first couple of uses but it started having trouble sensing furniture and now gets hung up on corners. The mop function is really bad as it causes excessive drag on the drive motor and will get stuck when attempting to make any kind of turn. The unit is ok for occasional use, but is not really robust enough for a long use vacuume. Make sure to test out before your return time is out.

The online app is very basic but you can turn it on while you’re away and schedule a sweep. I do not recommend the mopping option while away – you kind of have to tell it where to go and it just runs water across the floor, not really cleaning! While cool, it is not worth getting for that particular feature. The blue charging/WiFi light is also extremely bright and was bothersome at night and had to be covered. I tried it for 2 weeks and while I initially liked it, I found that a lot of dust, debris was left on the floor and not picked up or “lost” a foot later. Had more trouble picking hair etc off low pile carpet tiles. Maybe the suction isn’t strong enough at 1200pa. I switched to Eufy with a 2000Pa suction and I can see the difference. PROS - Good transitioning from hardwood to low pile carpet - Very Quiet - Mopping option but you have to direct it where to go and it does not replace a regular mop - Wifi setup and iphone connection was easy (App is very basic) - Was able to free itself when it got stuck - Mostly no trouble docking (charge station is not in an easy location) CONS - Suction is weak, even on high setting - Difficulty climbing a door swell easily - Constantly runs over crumbs, leaving them behind a foot later or not picking them up at all - Charging light is intensely bright that will disturb at night if not covered - Did try to suck up thick lamp cable and broke the socket in the process (somewhat my fault) - Moves around somewhat slow paced - No alerts on the app - The mopping is not sufficient time- nor clean-wise, moves around randomly unless you direct it

It does work with Alexa. You want to hook it up to Smart Life. Alexa will then see it.To get it to connect do the following. Remove from the base. Hold down the blue top button and flip the on off about 5 times. Keep holding the top blue button down and it will go from flashing to fast blinking. Then attach to smart life or tuya and it will attach to Alexa. Put on the base to stop blinking after connected. It should connect as long as light goes from slow to really fast. Those 2 apps attach to Alexa. So far I'm impressed with it. I was only hoping that I could get it on Alexa. The Instruction in Lefant Life said add it using Smart Life. Just skip Lefant Life completely and hook it up to Smart Life. I need something to help with pet hair and litter. It seems to be working well at a reasonable price point. I'll try out the mop function in the future. At this point it seems like a nice bonus for the price. I like that it comes with spare cleaner arms, spare hepa filter, spare floor mop pad. I'm going to be trying out magnetic strips with it next.

I purchased the LeFant M500 because it was one of the few that met all my criteria, scheduling, wi-fi (for when I want to run it a little extra when I am not at home, and Mopping capabilities. At first the cliff sensors didn't work, I contacted the company and they responded immediately and were able to do a remote update and now it works wonderfully. I am thrilled that I will have clean tile floors everyday now.
