Portable Stand for Acoustic and Classical Guitars by Hola! Music

I bought this to hold my guitar when I place it down during practice while I get my materials setup from lesson to lesson. Otherwise my guitars are in their cases. I use three different guitars. A Guild D50, an Applause 12 string and a Gretsch “Jim Dandy” parlor guitar. This stand holds all three guitars pretty securely. However, I do not have small children or pets moving around that undoubtably would indeed cause this to fall over if bumped into. The “Jim Dandy” parlor guitar is held most securely. No problem regarding sideways slipping at all and firmly held. The Applause 12 string has a thick bowl shape, but fits very well onto this stand. Again no problem regarding sideways slipping, and though a dreadnought shape it is on the light side weight wise and is also firmly held. The Guild D50 is a 1980s solidly built guitar that was made in Westerley, Rhode Island. This guitar is somewhat top heavy when on the stand and has some weight to it and is thick. It fits fine onto the stand but because it has a hefty-ness to it, it seems as if it could tip over backwards if bumped with a little force. It seems at a close tipping point in that regard. I don’t consider that problematic for me as I have no pets or children about, but that should be a consideration if you do. There is no problem regarding sideways slippage with the Guild on this stand though. All in all I feel this is a well made plastic stand. It certainly folds down to a nice compact transportable size. I am happy and satisfied with this stand. It suits and serves my practice purpose just right, especially in light of my not having children or pets to be bumping into it. I have confidence in its build.

This is a well engineered stand that can hold up even a large acoustic. The standard designed metal foldings stand wasn't able to properly hold my guitar. I liked the design of the Hola products in the past so I decided to give it a try. It holds up my Epiphone EJ2000. The cool thing is how compactly it folds up. If you have a gig bag with an outer pocket, it will easily fit in there. Light, well engineered. I did give sturdiness a 4 out of 5 - being plastic - you could possibly damage it opening and closing it if you are not careful. The extra required care is worth it for the reduced weight and the well designed size when the stand is closed.

I have bought a few stands in the last few months. The expensive metal folding stand I bought collapsed, the old fashioned Iron stand with the neck stabilizer is great for keeping guitars in one place, as long as you have floor space for them. I was nervous about this stand, since it is made of plastic and is rather odd and bulky looking. I had no reason to be. For the money this is the best portable stand I've got. It folds up tight, and keeps my acoustic almost as stable as the big iron stand. It is more durable that I ever imagined. It's well engineered. The only thing I don't like is the center support is stiff and I'd watch a kid folding and unfolding until they are adept. I did find the older in which I folded it makes a difference in how tight the joints remain. Experiment. YMMV. I will be buying another of these to replace the folding metal stand, which had a tendency to let my electric guitar slip over sideways. It's an old Les Paul, so you know how bad I freak at the thought of that headstock hitting the ground. This stand has a wider base, and playing around it is good for stability as a practice stand. I would not expect to use either of my portable stands at an actual gig, since they are not stable enough for that, and it's too easy for accidents to happen. But overall I was really surprised at how stable and well designed this stand is.

I've used guitar stands for years - onstage, at home - and always the metal, padded kind with the neck support. They're OK, if used with care (don't knock into them, don't pull a cord across them, don't mind their overall awkward design, etc.). This stand has no neck support, but its stability is absolutely great - and it turns out any neck-support requirement in a stand may be overrated, at least for my application (classical and other acoustic guitars). There is sufficient padding at all strategic points to protect the guitar finish (not advocating, however, long-term exposure, simply because I generally store guitars long-term in their cases). Plus .. this is a very nifty design: Once you figure out how to open and close it (it's clever!), you will feel as some of us do when watching "How It's Made": who the heck thought of this?! It's so functional and folds to a super-compact size. Well deserving of five stars.

Light, portable guitar stand, which you can easily stuff into a good soft gig bag. Nice mechanism to lock A-frame legs opened to prevent stand from pitching or folding with a guitar on it. All plastic though. This is the trade-off for a lightweight stand. Plastic appears sturdy enough. Additional gigs will confirm ruggedness. Note: stand cannot accommodate a guitar with a straight instrument cable plugged-in. Not enough clearance from the ground. However, it appears to accommodate a guitar with a right angle instrument cable attached. Next model design should consider modification to hold a guitar with an instrument cable attached. Still,Hola! has produced a very decent product.

Great price point for a solution that is portable, easy, and works! It is very light and easy to fold and carry. It opens up in less than 10 seconds. I am using it as a permanent guitar stand and am glad to know I can easily carry it with me if needed. If you are someone who travells with your guitar this should be added to your guitar bag/case. And it is small enough to easily fit and light enough that you won't notice it is there. I am delighted with this product! I would not use this for an electric guitar - it isn't meant for electric guitars. I imagine they would topple over easily on this stand.

I bought these for a portable acoustic gigging solution for solo acoustic gigs where I bring 2 guitars. They fold up to a very compact size, though I have other portable stands that fold up smaller (K&H) but these are cheap and lightweight. A little too lightweight it seems because they are super flimsy and you have to be careful with how the guitar sits on them and the surface they sit on. They don't seem very durable either but I guess you get what you pay for sometimes.

I needed a guitar stand that was portable and easy to store in a guitar gig bag if needed. This guitar stand fits my requirements. What’s really nice is that it’s lightweight and the silicone supports can be adjusted to fit your acoustic guitar perfectly. I ended up buying another for my classical guitar. The stand is stable and it can hold my acoustic guitar without me worrying about it falling.

Terrible product!! Made of flimsy plastic. Starting to buckle under the weight of my acoustic.

Las bases de goma son resbaladizos. La guitarra se va inclinando hasta caer. Mi guitarra nueva se dañó. Guardé el par que compré, me da pena revenderlo porque dañaría la guitarra de otra persona. Si pudiera lo regresaría. Muy mal producto.

Excelente producto, cumple su objetivo , fácil de llevar por ser muy ligero y muy estable para su tamaño
