These things work great. I have taken my kayak on the freeway at 70 mph handful of times so far and the thing stayed put every time. In addition, I lost my bag of keys somehow and contacted Lock Rack about getting replacements. Marc responded right away and shipped me five new ones free of charge. I will echo the thoughts of another reviewer and just say this product needs more work. It does what I want it to do, and for the most part, I am satisfied. It is obvious using high-quality materials in constructing this rack was not a priority. The tool (key) used to release the armbars is a good example. Seriously, you made these using cheap plastic that strips easily and quickly? No wonder you include several with the order. I doubt the supply of release tools will last the year and then I will have to buy more, assuming I can find them, or be stuck with a useless rack. I love the whole concept behind the rack....just wish it could have been executed better. I would explore other options before considering buy this item agan.

No instructions given on how to put together. I tube only had one way to put together and was not going to work for my suv racksFigured it out and they are excellent for carrying my kayak.In an additional note after using twice - the keys to release the arms are plastic and the first key has already failed(stripped). Wish the key was not plastic

Missing nuts and bolts like the other kit I returned. This kit is extendable but for Hobie Kayak. Take the middle bar out and use it as 4 separate post. It will work for all hobie .

I use it for paddle boards and it makes the use of them sooooo much easier!

This does not fit a large kayak like a Predator PDL. Great idea, it just doesn’t fit for large kayaks. The arms are not long enough to get over the top to secure it properly.
