Tramontina Gourmet Selection 3 Mixing Bowls

The short version:The bowls I received DO match the bullet point description, but do NOT match the image (echo other reviews). I received:- 3 pc mixing bowl- Stainless steel 3qt, 5qt, 8qt- Dishwasher safeBut the first bullet point: Make sure this fits by entering your model number??? Perhaps there is supposed to be an option to select which style bowls you prefer???In my humble opinion, with no more description than is provided, and no additional photos, we *are* led to believe the bowl set we're purchasing (and will receive) will look like the picture. Indeed the description matches the picture *and* the bowls I received. For anyone looking for great quality stainless bowls like in the photo, don't give up yet. Tramontina *does* make them...in fact, they make TWO styles (shocking right). I own both the "deep" style shown in the image and the "shallow" style being shipped.I first purchased my bowls, years (perhaps 4+) ago, at Costco ("C")...two sets of the deep bowls and one set of the shallow bowls...Tramontina PROLine Commercial Grade 18/8, Made in China. We love them and they're used daily. My daughter recently requested a set of "those great stainless bowls" for her new home. Don't bother running to "C", because they no longer carry either set...ask me how I know. After a road trip which allowed me to check stores (in more than one state), I turned to Amazon. I *did* read the reviews; this was not a blind purchase. In fact, it seems most sellers presenting this image for Tramontina Gourmet series 18/10 bowls are shipping the shallow bowl set instead. My first attempt was shipped from Amazon Warehouse (used, but like new...I wonder why). I didn't receive the set pictured that time either. Each seller seems to have reviews from people *loving* the bowl quality, but dissatisfied with the discrepancy. The selling price here is higher than years-ago "C" prices, but still *very* reasonable and the image matched MY deep bowls (photo 3). So I took a chance. Best case, I would receive the bowls pictured...worst case they would be the "other" (shallow) style, but still great quality, durable Tramontina bowls. I received the shallow bowls (photo 2). Sooo...to recap, bowls shown in the ad: (like mine in photo 3); bowls received: (photo 2). Bowls received from this seller are listed first in my size comparison and will be on the left in photos.Bowl size/capacity 3 Qt, 5 Qt, 8 Qt are the same for both the deep and shallow sets, but dimensions are VERY different. These are my depth & diameter measurements and include the rim.Small bowl: 3 Qt / 2,8 LDepth: 3.5" vs 5"Diameter: 10.25" vs 8.88" (8 7/8")Medium bowl: 5 Qt / 4,7 LDepth: 4.25" vs 5.75"Diameter: 11.88" (11 7/8") vs 10.5"Large bowl: 8 Qt / 7.5 LDepth: 5.25" vs 6.5"Diameter: 13.34" (13 3/8") vs 12"Photos:1 - from this Amazon seller...bowl base clearly states they are Tramontina 18/10 Stainless Steel, Made in Brazil - lots of questions across various sellers asking are they *really* not made in China? These are NOT made in China2 - bowl set I received3 - my "C" Tramontina stainless steel bowls, relevant because it's what we think we're ordering/receiving based on the image in this ad4 - shallow bowls shipped to me5 - my (deeper) set like advertised image6 and 7 - small bowl comparison8 and 9 - medium bowl comparison10 - large bowl height comparison (all bowls are nested)11 and 12 - box I received: 80202-531cp on lid flap, UPC 16017 13791, ITM/ART #1186950Bottom line: our family has appreciated the quality and durability of Tramontina stainless bowls (both styles) for many years. Used for mixing, serving and storing in the kitchen, plus picking from our gardens, these bowls are versatile and have held up well with daily use. It's a mystery why so many Amazon sellers are only showing the deep bowls, but shipping the shallow sets instead. Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it? Matching really shouldn't be so difficult. So now I have two sets of shallow bowls from Amazon sellers who can't match. I'm keeping both sets for several reasons, including price and sharing with my daughter, but MAINLY because they really are GREAT bowls. However, I've reported the discrepancies and sent love (cranky) notes to the sellers, because I don't think reviews always get the problem resolved. Hopefully my daughter will love her shallow bowl set (wink) and never ask for details. I'm in no way associated with Tramontina. Hopefully this review has shared enough info to help you make an informed purchase here or, perhaps, research a bit more to find the other set. Good luck!

These are not as pictured and I have seen them in stores. In stores you get exactly as pictured. What you get are completely different and they are shallow bowls and not at all what I viewed and wanted. Tried this two times from different seller. Once charge $29.99 the other $39.99 and they were the exact same wrong bowl. So so very disappointed.

These are the best stainless steel bowls, they're heavyweight and made for tough work.

First off, as the other reviewers state... the bowls are shaped differently from the picture. Hopefully Amazon will fix that. But I'm going to review the bowls as sent to me. They are awesome! Excellent quality, 18/10 is great, Made in Brazil. They are also beefy so I have no doubt they'll last a very long time. The price was awesome too! For some reason there's another listing on Amazon for the same bowls for double the price -- again, Amazon please fix. Highly recommend these bowls though -- You will not regret this purchase!

Purchased these originally from Costco many years ago. My daughter wanted a set for Christmas....after 2 orders of very small bowls from other sellers, my husband recalled the brand name Tramontina. I did an Amazon search and wah lah!! These are very nice sizes, NOT SMALL like others priced twice as much. They’re my go-to cookie/cake bowl, large salad bowl (lots of room to toss and mix!) and the price? What a deal!!!

Do NOT order these mixing bowls if you are anticipating receiving the ones pictured. The product photo is INCORRECT.
