This tool is a great for a non-standard use. Even though it’s made for fries, I’ve been using it to help transfer fresh beef jerky into packaging bags, and it works perfectly. This holds the bag open and allows the jerky to easily slide into the bag. The stainless steel build feels solid and durable, and the angled design makes it easy to slide food into bags without spilling or making a mess on the zipper part of the bag. Cleanup is quick, and it saves me so much time compared to trying to do it by hand. Overall, it’s sturdy, efficient, and surprisingly versatile. Definitely worth having if you package food regularly.

It works ok ! The handle is cheap one it and the steel is thin.

I recently purchased a large Harvest Right freeze dryer and this scoop fits perfectly in the trays. It makes it very easy to scrape freeze dried items out of the trays and funnel them into mason jars or Mylar bags. Depending on how fine the item is that I am working with, I sometimes have to add a little tape to close the gap between the top and bottom side sections to prevent things from falling out the sides. Overall this is super handy!
