I bought these for a backpacking trip in alpine environment (Enchantments in WA State). I didn’t want to spend a fortune on name brand, even though I know it’s a good investment (future things for this single parent). The reviews on these pants were good enough to make me take a chance, and I’m so glad I did! I’m 5’6 and 180lbs, and I went with the XL in black. I personally love a loose fit in the legs, and I could have absolutely done a Large instead — but I liked the roominess the CL gave while also fitting nicely in the waist! I also like to put my base layer underneath, and they layered well. Are they super stylish? Nope. Are they comfy? Hell yes. Do they hold up well in the rain? They do! Do I love the pockets? Yessssss! What about the cinch feature at the ankles? I never used it, because it was actually cold and rainy most of my backpacking trip. I wore these three days in a row and while my body got stanky, the pants didn’t seem to pick that up! They also dry super quickly, which was nice on the trail — I let them hang in a dry spot while changing into my camp pajamas, and they were ready for the next day faster than I expected! I didn’t notice any significant wrinkling. They seem perfect for packing down in a backpack! The material is soft, the zippers worked well, and overall they are a very versatile pair of pants. I’ll be getting another pair in the orange!

At first, I hated these pants. It's like putting on a plastic garbage bag. But in just a few minutes, I loved them. They light and comfortable. They are remarkably cool and great for all-day wear.

I was looking for a less expensive version of the Prana hiking pants and these are pretty close. I'm not a hiker but I like this style of pants because they are cool in the summer (and I don't love shorts). These are pretty nice. I'm a size 2 (5'1", 105 lbs) and the XS fit well. They are straight leg, and a little looser fit than I would like, especially around the thighs. The length is good, I hate when pants are too short (my legs are long for my height). I got Navy and it has grey trim which is ok, it looks nice but I could do without a second color. The Navy is almost a royal blue, lighter than a true Navy. Since I don't hike I could do without the toggles at the bottom but mostly I don't notice them. Overall they are a decent casual summer pant that will keep me cool on a hot day.

I love these pants! I've bought other Baleaf pieces and have found all to be excellent. These pants are no exception. The fabric has a nice feel, give, and drape, while the zippered pockets are secure and don't pucker or bulge. I didn't expect hiking pants to be so flattering or so well made at this price point. I'm short and the length seems to be fine for me. I'm 5'1" 120 lbs. and bought a size 6, which fits perfectly. Bonus points for the velcro closure at the ankles--that's especially helpful during tick season. In a world where there are hundreds of hiking pants on the market offered only in earth tones, the purple color is fabulously refreshing! Kudos to Baleaf for daring to be a little different with their color palette. I look forward to hiking many miles in these pants.

I bought these for around $35 or so and they’ve been an excellent value. I wore them on both the Devils Dome Loop Trail in the North Cascades and Half Dome in Yosemite, and they performed great on both hikes. The material is lightweight, comfortable, and dries quickly. I fell a few times on rocky terrain and the pants didn’t tear or show any noticeable damage, so I was impressed with how durable they are. Mosquitoes can still bite through the fabric, but that’s pretty normal for lightweight hiking pants. If the bugs are really bad, I just throw on a pair of rain pants over them. Overall, these are comfortable, durable, and well worth the price. I’d definitely buy another pair and would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable hiking pants without spending a fortune.

I have the black and blue colors in these pants and really love them. They are comfortable, cool on my skin, just right. I wear them to work. When this pair arrived, I opened the package, took off the tag and immediately it them on. To my surprise, they aren’t the same size. I compared them to the black pair I own. The tags are the exactly the same. I checked the length and this pair is slightly shorter than the black pair. This pair is snugger. It’s almost like this pair is a size Large instead of XL. The waist is shorter. In all, they are just not the comfortable pants I love. However, they still “fit” and I will keep them instead of going through the hassle of sending them back and reordering a larger size. I don’t want to risk that pair not fitting either. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I will order any more of these pants since I can no longer trust the fit.

These Baleaf Women’s Hiking Pants are lightweight, comfortable, and made of good-quality material. I really like the appearance and the multiple zippered pockets, which are great for keeping items secure. They did arrive with some initial wrinkles, but a quick minute in the dryer helped smooth them out. I’m very happy with my purchase and will be purchasing more in other colors. I really love these pants. They fit well, and the quick-dry claim is the real deal. A few practical notes on sizing and details: Length & Inseam: I usually wear a 32" inseam, but the 29" works great - they hit right at the ankle. Sizing Quirks: Could be a fluke, but my early-summer Large (blue) fits identically to my new XL (black), which I bought a size up to layer over winter tights. Keep color/batch variations in mind. Pockets: Functional! All of them except the back pocket easily zip closed with an iPhone inside. Calf Fit: If you have medium or larger calves, there is no way you’re pushing these up your calf like the listing photos show—the cuffs just don't have the stretch. That’s fine for me since I wanted full ankle coverage, but good to know before buying. Logo Placement: Unlike the product photos, my black pair does not have the prominent BALEAF logo down the left leg. They moved it to a small, discreet tag on the back hip, which looks much cleaner. Value Tip: If you aren't picky about color, keep an eye on the listing and grab them when they drop to around $25. Absolute steal at that price.
