I use this to shave my head bald. The product is light and easy to use. I like the fact where you place the blade and the clasp you use to secure it is small enough so I have no issue cutting around my ears which I found difficult with those razors.Only slight drawback is with the clasp being smaller and less thick it’s sometimes harder to open when it’s time to switch blades. Which could be quite dangerous, however once you get the knack for it should be fine.I would recommend it, I also like the holder it comes with although it is a tight fight.

Not wanting to be a slave to the Gillette corporation anymore I thought I would buy a cutthroat razor. This one looked good so I thought why not - ordered a set of blades and waited.The razor arrived and it is good quality and has a nice weight. As I was putting in the blade my wife was, discretely, checking our life insurance policy to ensure death by misadventure was covered.Anyway, I wander to the bathroom, apply shaving cream and it dawns on me I have no idea what I am doing. So quick Google and watch a video - hold at 35 degrees to face, 1cm strokes and such.With a great deal of care I do the first cm of sideburn, then the next and next. Looks good. No blood. I think to myself "This isn't hard at all old chap". At this point I forget what I am doing and drag the blade across my face too fast and at a much steeper angle. It's like hitting speed bumps. Suddenly there is blood, it makes me jump and I end up cutting my face again - only half a dozen little niks but still it has mixed with the water and I look like I have been in a machete fight. Then to add insult to injury I cleaned the blade and wiped off the soap using my thumb and sliced that open for good measure. I finished my shave off slowly with a few more cuts. I have never been so careful in my life.I dont think I can manscape with this product.An added warning- using aftershave on my face afterwards produced some very loud and blue language. It was like awesome smelling fire. Hugo Boss Burn - for manly men!Still - brilliant product and I will get it right eventually.

Make sure you read up and watch some videos on the best technique. I had my first shave with it yesterday and got on ok with only a couple of nicks. I was only using cheap gillette shaving foam and it worked fine. It's best to get some good quality shaving soap and a brush to lather your face properly. Good product overall and good value for money. I'm surprised by some of the bad reviews and expect their experieces are due to user error rather than an issue with the product itself. Make sure you buy some blades to go with it. Only £5 for 100! Imagine the savings on safety razor blades which are at least a quid a pop.

Years later I still use it. Very good quality. The only downside is it has a slight tendency to chip where the blade goes. If you want to keep this for years, always remove the blade and dry the razor. Leather pouch is nice too

I don't often write reviews but I was so impressed with this that I thought I should. I bought this razor as a replacement for a different model straight shavette. What a difference! The first model was a different design and was incredibly difficult to use. I cut my face to shreds.This is perfect. Well made with a nice weight and feel. The procedure for changing blades is easy and the blades sit securely with 1mm edge exposed. I have used this on multiple occasions and on each occasion have had a brilliantly smooth shave without any nicks, cuts or scrapes. I highly recommend this product

I lost my last one so I purchased another of the exact same one. Was thinking to try something new but it’s really a great product. You can buy blades for super cheap and thus replace blades whenever you feel like without feeling like you’re killing your pockets. I have a beard and it helps with lining, don’t need a Gillette even though I still have them as they can be easier when it comes to the certain parts of the body, the cutthroats are great though and this should do you just fine.

Had to show my ID for this delivery of this product even though it doesn’t come with any razor blades. Have to pay £5 delivery charge with blades as well as the £5 for this product. Disappointed. However the product design is very neat and smart.
