Flotec FP7125-08 Pre-Charged Water Tank

I had one just like this on my water well for over 20 years and this was a no brainer.

5 year warranty. Bladder failed after 11 months contacted seller and they will only provide coverage for 30 days instructed to contact flotec for warranty. I did and flotec states warranty must go through the original seller. The original sellers refuse. Amazon will only provide a shipping label and I must pay shipping then they will need three weeks for testing to determine if installation was the problem. Only one hose and clamp at the base and installation error for a bladder failure? Buyer Beware

The Flotec worked after discovering picture showed "Tank Bracket" that had to be ordered to match the display. It took a call to chicago Tech services to get the bracket number. The tank I received looked new (box was taped) but, the NUT welded to the top of tank was damaged and the bolt supplied with the Tank Bracket was 1/2 inch too short to even reach the NUT. I re-tapped the NUT, picked up a longer bolt and mounted my pump. Works fine now. The display of the tank and needing to order additional item cost "FLOWTEC" a PERFECT SCORE.

The tank that was delivered does not have the mounting bracket for the pump as is pictured. We can make it work for our situation, but is not ideal.

My old captive air tank was 35 gallons, which gave me a draw-down of 9.4 gallons. Besides, it was water-logged and I had no choice, really, but to replace it. I decided to go to this 50-gallon Flotec tank to get a nearly 50% better draw-down of 13.4 gallons so my pump would not cycle quite so often. I'm glad I did. I did need to get the pump bracket kit because the description is wrong about this tank's already having the bracket (the reason I gave it 4 stars); but, the tank is otherwise everything it was advertised to be! It was delivered right on time, though Flotec really needs to package it better. I did have to exchange the first one because it had 2 – 3 dents I did not think would survive a warranty challenge. The replacement had a minor dent that did not IMHO impact functionality, so I installed it and it has been working flawlessly ever since.

I like that my pump doesn't run so much anymore. I wish I had purchased this tank long ago.

I would like to give this product a negative 5 stars or even 0 stars but 1 star was the lowest. This tank's rubber air system failed then bursting the bladder. This tank is only a couple years old. I called Flotec for support and they state my tank is very old but I know I purchased it only a couple years back at Home Depot. I stated that I would like to purchase a new bladder. The customer service representative stated they had no bladders in stock and that since the bladder is busted, I needed a new tank. I stated that I have read several reviews where this failure occurs and stated this must be a manufacture's defect. I also asked why they didn't use brass valve systems like Amtrol or Flexcon. The customer service representative then stated that I should have bought one of those models. I told him that I would replace my tank with one of these models. Hopefully this guy was just having a bad day and they do not treat all their customers with this type of customer support. DO NOT BUY FLOTEC PRODUCTS. IT IS JUNK AND THE MANUFACTURER DOESN'T SUPPORT THEIR PRODUCTS.
