I bought this to build a controll board to operate my roll off roof observatory with NINA. I saw on you tube how to build this and bought the parts here on Amazon. after building the controller I can now use NINA advanced sequence to controll my roof in my observatory, so that means when I'm sleeping my scope is taking pictures and when it is done NINA sends a signal to this Arduino and it relays it to my motor controller and it closed my roof.... pretty neet...

UI use my R3 to build a remote compass so i could tell which way my rooftop antenna was pointing after our spring wind storms. Solid build quality and easy to use.

Arduino is AWESOME, a very cool environment of hardware and software. I've been wanting to learn this for years and am now on my way doing so, there's SO MUCH potential and capability in these microcontrollers ! There are less expensive "clones" available, but I like to buy some genuine boards, and I made sure to make a donation when downloading the free software to support the idea of open source projects like this.

I had a problem with one of these driving a stepper motor with a DM556. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why the motor was running erratically. I tried just about everything I could think of, but I never suspected the Uno. Swapped it out; it worked perfectly. These are great for prototyping or hobby work, but in your final project, use an official Arduino, is my advice. You can't beat the price, which makes them expendable. And keep in mind that if there's a problem, maybe it's the Uno.

I found the Arduino Uno to be a well crafted piece of equipment. The reason I got one was to create a pendulum like motor with a mini servo. Having never touched anything like this before, a few google searches led me to understand that this board could do exactly what I wanted. There is documentation galore. I found it to work well and my PC (Windows 7 Home Prem) found the driver immediately, which allowed me to get to work quickly. If you are looking at a product like this, then you probably have some idea what you want to do with this before getting it. As such I gave it a 5 out of 5 because it did exactly what I needed it to. I am sure there is tons of potential here for other bigger and better things to me created from this board. As far as basic programming goes the compiler and anything else worked quite well. I recommend this product to anyone that needs to create a "robot" in a very basic fashion, or to somebody just looking to experiment. The price is good and the potential is nearly infinite. Obviously people that are really into this might ask for different features, but that is what other versions of the Arduino are for. Pros: + Price + Simplicity + Well-crafted Cons: - None that I can give with my experience so far. Excellent little board that can fit many needs.

I didn’t know about Arduino when I bought my Raspberry Pi but I wish I did. The Arduino is so much easier to work with and better suited for the kinds of things I want to do. This is a fantastic little board and lots of fun to play with. And best of all, I didn’t get frustrated and put it away for two years like I did with the Raspberry Pi. For someone like me who just wants to “tinker” with simple little projects, this was just the ticket!

There are lots of cheap Arduino clones out there, and usually they work, but if you don't want to waste time wondering if the board is the source of your problems, buy the genuine Arduino. Good quality parts and assembly, and you support the company that developed the open source board and software. I got the SMD version because I'm not going to use the board to program processors, and the SMD looks cleaner.

No hay mucho que decir de Arduino uno, de calidad y duradero. Lo único "malo" entre comillas, es que no viene con su cable para conectarlo a la computadora.
