Is the pressure cup aluminum or stainless steel?

Where is everyone getting their information? The cup is stainless steel and mine has stood up to countless dishwasher cycles looking just as good as new, which would not happen with aluminum. It is NOT screwed in, but is secured by a couple of notches, so you twist slightly and they come apart. The parts it sits on are all plastic and fortunately don't stay very long in contact with the juice as it goes through.

As I recall, this was originally a German design, and during much of the last century, this model was US-made (my older unit has "Made In USA" proudly stamped on the metal badge on the front).If manufacturing has shifted to China, I would not be too concerned... the design is elegant and sturdy, and HB continues to market this as part of their Commercial line (with pricing to match). In fact, almost all parts are available for individual purchase from HB's website.
