Good upgrade for the ender 3 pro. I initially purchased this to convert my instone inventor pro printer to a bowden style drive. It solved slipping and grinding issues I was experiencing with the OEM direct trive on that machine. When i upgraded to the Ender 3 I swapped this on to the new machine and it has performed extremely well. Only complaint is the grinding noise it makes when retracting. spring tension is just a little too high and causes it to makes some angry noises.

The Good:Metal is machined well.It looks like a previous design flaw that caused metal on metal wear was fixed at the bearing assembly.Snazzy electroplatingAll the parts showed up!The Bad:It didn't come with instructions about what screws go where (comes with a variety of screws - all are needed).Final Thoughts:As long as you carefully disassemble your old extruder assembly, you'll be fine. I'll be buying more for my other printers.

When I bought this I did so on the advice that the stock extruder on my printer (a voxelab aquila) was failure prone and would eventually snap from the stress. What you'll find out with 3D printing is that the extruder is the thing that you're most likely to have problems with. This thing was not an improvement. I've had issues with slippage, grinding, etc. Just save yourself the headache and get a BMG style extruder.

Excellent upgrade from the stock plastic counterpart that came with the Ender 3 Pro. I know there are many versions of this extruder and one thing I have noticed, some come with the associated hardware for you to be able to adjust the springs tension, this one however does not. It just came with the screws to keep the spring in place but once again, there’s really no way to adjust the springs tension without modifications. This hasn’t caused any issues thus far, but the lack of adjustability may be of concern down the road when the need to do so for certain applications arises.

Great product! The only reason I took one star away was because there were no instructions on how to install. Luckily, I found a YouTube video that explained what screws went where. Way sturdier than OEM ender 3 extrusion assembly. My old plastic one wore a notch in the filament hole and was causing it to drag. If you have the OEM black plastic assembly, definitely upgrade to this!

I bought this as an upgrade for the plastic stock extruder on my Ender 3. This actually created problems that I never had with feed failures at the extruder, and mangled filament. I think the spring tension was so high that it cause issues. I ended up adding an EZR Struder extruder and it works smooth as glass. No issues and it even feeds flexibles reliably.

So far so good. It was a bit tricky to install (ender3 3D), it solved the issue of the filiment cutting into the extruder guide. Its pretty durable, and the anodizing is pretty sturdy as well. Need a replacement for JGAurora A5S printer that came with plastic one that break a part. This one worked good and I'm happy that had it's own screws because my screws were to long for mounting.Easy replacement. No adjustment need it.
